@@julianmorgan79 Nokk is nowhere near OP her whole gadget her whole kit can be countered by a proximity mine and once it goes off or you are spotted all you have left is you supbar pool of guns a simple ash/zof rush would work better 7/10 times

I tried it in the test server it was absolutely broken. We were distracting the last defenders and they were all getting dispatched one by one by our remaining teammates. Glad they never put it in the game.
There was also the built in tournament system announced in Year 5. Last thing they mention about it was that is required a lot of backend reworking so was put in the on low priority.
They said it would be for the endgame in siege. It’s low priority because yes backend changes and they wanted to overhaul the ranking system before that
Drone after death would've been so annoying, Attacker repick is awesome, the Yellow ping awareness might be good idk I'm still indifferent about it, Bullet indication should've been in it.
I don't like the idea of non mic communication, somehow being a bad thing. It important that teammates are able to communicate with each other regardless of their ability to talk. The only thing the yellow ping does is communicate information that could also be communicated using voice chat. It serves no real purpose to punish it as you're just punishing people who don't wanna mic up. It would be like the eavesdrop perk in the old call of duties being added to the game. It just discourages communication.
@@DemonicLemur I see what you mean but the problem is when you use yellow ping in conjunction with a mic it’s TOO much information when I play I’m assuming the other team has mics but with that comes human error someone trying to describe where I am in game might take time might come out wrong or they might suck there is human error but when someone can say z-ping 3 and now the whole team knows exactly where I am and I never knew and now I’m dead because I didn’t know I was getting spammed pinged on a drone down the hallway Also there is team chat I’m sure there are people without a mic or can’t turn it on but if that’s the case then type that out there is no counter play for yellow ping minus shooting whatever is pinging you but unless you are IQ or have a 6th sense it isn’t always possible to know there is a drone somewhere around you and for that simple mistake a yellow ping leads to death that’s why it’s so frustrating especially in higher elo
@@DemonicLemur I agree with both points. But this game is about communication as well. So if they don't have a mic then that's on them. This game you kind of need it. Honestly it's people being scared to speak up. Like I said I'm indifferent about it because I like the Stealthyness to Yellow ping and it being with just you and your team. However I do think maybe the player should feel a vibrate or hear a sound if it's directly on them. Or that might be to much sound because people can spam it. So I see why it's not a thing.
@@isaacluckett4365 So then what is the point of having a red ping and a yellow ping if they both give a notification? Not to mention that this would affect all yellow pings even if they aren’t directed at an enemy, so if I ping a doorway to tell my teammate to hold it it would still give it away.
@@halfcutonion6342 the difference is some sort of warning when u red ping someone it’s a live feed your teammates know BUT so does the attacker they know there are being pinged u can react or run something anything the problem is you don’t know with yellow ping and I’m not saying remove it altogether and I’m only talking about attacker vs defender situation here that’s when I want the noise I don’t want this to be apex where pings have noises all the time but if I’m holding an angle in sight and someone has been yellow pinging me for 35 seconds and then I get blown up through the floor that isn’t fun there is no counter play
As a network engineer, the final idea is highly impractical in today's world. Downloading map textures on demand requires a ton of bandwidth on the client end which not everyone can guarantee, additionally, MS Azure isn't very economical with their cloud storage solutions so I imagine Ubisoft took a look at the bill for having all those textures in all those different formats across so many different data centers, with redundancy, and at high-speed with low-latency data access. While I love the concept of this cloud storage for textures and only downloading the essentials. The concurrent cost of storing that data with all the caveats likely would've meant making everything related to the game (season pass, battle pass, cosmetics, etc.) more expensive to offset the cost. I think after looking into this solution, they realized how uneconomical it is to support long-term compared to the free cost and reliability of installing everything client-side.
The yellow ping sfx would be nice honestly. I think the yellow ping is a large culprit of making the gameplay feel much faster since staying in one spot is more dangerous for both attackers and defenders alike
Not only is it stupid, it is also very inappropriate and would cause outrage amongst the community. A dead operator shouldn't have the ability to operate a device, considering the fact the operator lacks any characteristic of live traits.
Can you make a video talking about content and features that used to be in the game and got removed? Not acogs or speed changes, but things like night maps, the ability to throw the grenade back at the attacker and realism mode
@@isaacluckett4365 there wasn't even a prompt on screen, but if you pressed the secondary gadget button while on top of a grenade, you could pick it up and throw it around. They removed because it was very situational and probably not even intended to begin with
They said that they were going to create a weekly ‘squad tournament’ system. Where as a 5man you could search as a whole stack and go through a single elim knockout tourney. If you win/lose your ‘squad rank’ would get higher or lower and rewards would be given out accordingly. They spoke about this once during a year release panel & since haven’t spoken a word of it.. MAJOR LET DOWN UBI.
I think if they were introduce the yellow ping notification, they should tweak it. How about the first ping in a sequence would be silent, but if you spam the ping it would get louder and louder. That way you can still reliably give some info to your team, but you just can't spam it so fast that it's basically a live position update. (At least without consequences)

Having the "Show Only Default" skin options would be fantastic for the Collegiate Esports community as most tournaments require you to run default uniforms or are limited to Esports, Pro, or SI skins and its kind of annoying for teams to remove all our customizations for a season, then turn them back on out of season, and flip flop. I've seen multiple people who run alt accounts just for collegiate solely so they can have a "skinless" account.

it's still funny that all of the defending drone/camera operators like maestro and echo were nerfed into the ground with echo's cloack being removed and maestro's turrets being breakable but in the end gameplay after death wasn't published one hell of a shame, and left a pretty big stain for me on these operators, could've been really cool to see players more actively use intel tools, now the game is just turning into a call of duty copycat they could've just added a drone maximum movement limit like in R6 extraction to droning after death to ensure players weren't jumping around, but they just left behind a ruin and moved on without looking back
I think that droning after death should be added to both sides, but you can’t use drone abilities, and movement of drones is based on a battery system. As for the yellow ping noise, I still think it should be added but maybe adjust the level of sound it makes to make it more balanced. I’ve never heard of the hitbot rework, but that sounds like such a good feature to add.
one thing I never heard, but I would love, is if mute jammers could be placed on walls, or if you're close enough, on ceilings. would also be cool if Maestro cams could also be put on ceilings.
Drone after death can be added with a battery system of around 10 seconds on your own devices. Once you click you are committed to 10 seconds you either use effectively or waste.
Other features I think isn't coming out, Tournament mode and storyline events. I remember when the devs said they would love to do some funny and unique modes for us to do and add it to arcade, but then also get some dark and tactical stuff. Would have been cool to see what they had in store for that.
I think a decent middle ground for the drone after death would be if ops that are still alive get to take control of other teammate ops gadgets/drones when they die if they went up to the ops phone and picked it up Dokkaebi style. Although i wouldnt be surprised if that was still too powerful or game changing. Also im glad the smaller install size was never added and hope it isnt, i hate texture streaming and on demand textures because my country's internet is terrible compared to a lot of the world so on demand textures causes gameplay issues due to lag. Unless it was choosable and you could still opt in to download the hd/full installation, id much rather it just stay as it is.
Something to think about: if stuff like cosmetics were server-hosted (to reduce client size) it would probably have a problem halo infinite had on launch, where especially if you had bad internet where you would not ne able to play for 30 minutes because it would be loading all the cosmetifs from the store, also it would be terrible for people with 8gb of ram, as it's barely enough even now
i was very happy about attacker repick, if defenders get to choose their site i should get to change which operator best suits that objective. it seems very balanced
I wish there were more site locations. A change i would consider is the bomb/s being mobile... Not like a package. The bombs are the exact same size. But you can push them around (Maybe exlusively in prep phase) They would be very heavy so at least 2 or more defenders have to work together. This change would be to keep maps a bit different every round.
I've had an idea in my head for some time now regarding yellow pings and how to add counter-play to them. What if whenever a yellow ping is made, the game checks if there is an enemy player within 1 meter of that ping and if there is, that player would get notified, just like a red ping, that the opposing team just pinged them? The same message that pops up on screen for a red ping would pop up on screen if someone yellow pinged within 1 meter of someone. I know there are plenty of people who will hate this idea and say I should just get used to Ping 2.0 since it's been in the game for 2 years now, but I also know that plenty of people, pros included, don't think you should be able to yellow ping a player because there is no counterplay to that. At least with a red ping, you know that the enemy knows where you are, you know they can see you on a drone or a cam. You don't get that info when you get yellow pinged.
I'm not sure if they announced the cancellation of this but after Operation Black Ice was released they said that they will release operator videos on the operator tab similar to the ones we already see on the launch operators.
Yeah. It’s strange because we actually do get those operator videos. I remember Warden’s reveal and Grim’s being super cool. It’s a shame they aren’t available to view in game like the Pathfinders.
They should bring the yellow ping sound, and also make that the drone after death applies to only gadget drones and not operator gadgets like maestro etc.
Not really siege related but they said they would temporarily removed custom profile. On their support page it says ''The option to upload custom avatars is *currently* unavailable.'' So there might be a chance for us getting custom avatars back.
The way I see it, Red Pings are pretty much only for when youre playing with Randoms. When playing with randoms its impossible to tell what someone who isnt talking to you means by a yellow ping. Drone here? Enemy here? Move here? This barricade was broken? Yellow ping are for telling teammates over comms "Thatcher on yellow ping 1". So to play with randoms they added a Red Ping, which is only ever used to mark an enemies location. But, doing so is not cohesive with the tacticalness of the game, having a computer ping where you are for your whole team. So they added a balance, the attack now knows theyre being pinged. Now Red Pings are balanced. Yellow pings are the equivalent of a voice callout, so they shouldnt give the attacker any notice.
i really hope they add the yellow ping sound, there have been too many times where im constant yellow pinged without knowing and have been prefired because of it. I get wanting to have a means of communicating without mics but yellow ping plus mics gives so much info for it to be a fair gunfight. Stick one valk cam in a spot across the room in a hard to see area and practically have a grim without any of the downsides.
There was a small feature that got implemented but was quickly taken out due to player models not acting appropriately when you're executing certain actions and that is the ability to melee and reload whilst you're leaning. Idk if they are gonna put it back in the game in the future or not but it was a good quality of life change that made the game much more smoother and less clunky.

I like the yellow ping sound, however I think they should just remove yellow ping from cams. Make it so the player can still ping gadgets, and make it so the area they are looking at displays the location name instead of the ping. The point of red ping is to give player locations when you can do that with yellow ping and spam it. This will incentivize players to learn call outs, because currently red ping is used to make people mald while yellow ping is used to spot everything.
drone after death rework: has fantastic potential, all it had to do was restrict the maximum drone movement like in r6 extraction nokk rework: has fantastic potential, and something she strongly needed from release blackbeard rework: something the community has been asking for for years ubisoft logic: lets rework frost, because that's what the community yearns for
i was really disappointed about not continuing with the Nokk change. i like playing as her but i only pick her to frag so it would be nice to actually pick her for her gadget
Yellow ping audio cues were actually a good idea. Yellow ping on a drone and camera should either be removed all together or nerfed with the audio cue.
during the north star tts i played against maciejay and bros team was all dead except one against me and like 6 drones came at me in a 1v1 it was so bad
I remember one that never came, it was a leak so it probably wasn’t coming at all, but it was the reinforced walls, you could reinforce half of a wall instead of the full wall. Don’t know if it was a lie or it just never came. Would’ve been cool tho
7:58 In regards to this: Ubisoft also has some Amazon servers. I’m not sure if its just for console (PS) but US East (Azure) us_east_1 (Amazon Ohio) us_east_2 (Amazon Virginia) I find my server connectivity is better on the amazon servers than Azure. I wish they would replace South Central as connectivity to that Datacenter for me and duo is horrible. I think these AWS servers in the east were an experiment and perhaps forgotten about.
I have actually been seeing drones in game with the little antennae that we saw on the test server for drone after death. I’m not sure if it’s just a bug but that definitely means that they began to implement drone after death into the live build. This is on console by the way so do with that information as you will.
Are you sure the yellow ping sound never ended up in an actual version of the game? Ive never played on test server bud distinctly remember reacting to it in game.
Absolutely love siege but some of the mechanics introduced/changed are incredibly inconsistent. Having an on-screen notification that you've been spotted doesn't make any sense.
7:37 I would prefere to have all things on my drive - not download them thru the interent, even when I have good, fast internet. In 5 years drives will be significantlly bigger so not a big problem
This is one of the things I indeed hate about Ubisoft, the lack of communication. Technicly these features are still coming, if they are delayed or cancelled they could have easily posted a blog post about it. This is for the core game (for the casual players) and for the Esports cell where the lack of communication has alsmost killed the entire esports life of Rainbow Six Siege...
Siege DESPERSTELY needs to have skins streamed/on different severs. Csgo doesn't make you download every single skin in the game - and they've got thousands of skins too. I also don't like that as a player I'm downloading skins that I can't buy or have access to, it's dumb imo.
