Praise the Lord, Andrew! I'm a former Devout Roman Catholic who also saw the light in '82. The problem is that Roman Catholics are censored from reading any other religious literature, and altho allowed to read the Bible, they are not allowed to interpret it. I was Catholic and I mean devout for 32 years. I read the Gospels for the first time when I was 27, when I was on a military mission and could not go to church. I went to parochial school for 12 years, and we never opened a Bible. But after reading the Gospels, I knew something was wrong and opposed to Christ's teachings. Then in 1992, I read Revelation. When I read Revelation 17, I could clearly see it was describing the Roman Catholic Church. I made the decision to flee the Harlot church. And boy oh boy, what I have learned since makes me 100 percent sure I made the right decision.

Plus when you think about it, the tribulation period is called the “time of Jacob’s trouble.” That seven year time period is all about the last week that still needs to be fulfilled in the 70 week prophecy from Daniel. God has promised to restore Israel, the apple of His eye, but the Jews must still suffer for their rejection of the Messiah when He came as a suffering servant. Mat_9:6 But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then said he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.

@Somers Farm I believe that while Jesus was on earth having laid down His divinity, at that time only the Father could be prayed to. However, since Christ as re-taken His divinity now we can pray to Him--and He also can forgive our sins just like He did while on earth.

steve billiter well said. It’s exactly correct while Jesus was here in the flesh He gave all the Glory to the Father. Now, sitting at the right hand, it’s not incorrect to pray to both Jesus and the Father. Furthermore, although be it strange, I don’t think it’s incorrect to pray to the Holy Spirit either although I don’t do that. We have to remember the Godhead/Trinity is comprised of 3 beings. Also, Jesus told us in John 10:30 “I and my Father are one.” God Bless you!

It's pretty obvious you've never attended even a single Catholic Mass, because at every single one of them there is a reading from the OT, the NT, AND the Gospel. If you ONLY went to mass and didn't read the Bible, then you'd get about 90% of the Bible's word in just 3 years of attendance. Meanwhile, go to a protestant service, and you get almost NO bible readings, just crazy assertions with a book and verse after it. Edward, I think I understand what you are saying. From the top down, most Catholic churches don't teach what the word is saying. I have several friends that I've known very well for over 4.5 decades that are Catholic. Some don't read the Bible on their own and follow only what they church wants them to believe. Some I can see are filled with the Holy Spirit which is leading their lives, which the Pope has come out to speak against as he says you can't be led by a personal relationship with Jesus. The church for the most wants to lead you to His Mother for being the co-redemeer which is one of satan's lies. Just as God's own words, your not to call anyone Father but Our Heavenly Father when it comes to spirituality! Jesus died for our sins, therefore He knows who has a truly repentance heart, not a man on this world that wants your money and to tell you how many Hail Mary's must be said to be forgiven. I agree with you, the Catholic Church wants to interpret scripture and they don't want you praying to the Holy Spirit for discernment. They are trying to lead God's People away. Jesus acknowledged His mother as anyone other christian. She had cancer and had set this up ahead of time. Anyway, the priest that carried the service did a terrible job of the funeral and it was so in-personalized it could have represented anyone, yet the Church seemed to want money! This can BTW happen at any Protestant Church too. I believe satan is alive and well in all Churches. The book of revelations clearly indicates how unhappy Father God is with the Churches and only one came somewhat close to the mark! If you believe you are Rightly dividing the word of truth, why do the scriptures plainly teach that there are FEW that find the narrow path yet there are probably over a billion Protestant pewsitters on the earth right now pointing their finger at catholicism as Babylon? The practice of the Eucharist is older than the Bible itself, being practiced by the Christian churches age before the Bible was even put together. The Catholic belief is that the Eucharist is the real presence of Christ, so I would think again about calling it an abomination. The Lord told us no one will know the way, day, or hour and he warned us of the failed prophets that would try and trick Christians. I would think again about making false testimony against the Catholic Church, especially since no matter what Protestant church you are part of it originates with the Catholic Church. Be it Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal , Methodist, Anglican, nondenominational, or even Orthodox. In some parts of the Bible where the term mystery is used the writer indicates......Behold I SHOW you mystery (1 Corinthians 51-53 ) this means that the writer (Paul) is revealing something that hadn't been revealed before. HOWEVER, in the book of Revelation (17;5) it states Mystery, Babylon the great........Here the writer HASN'T revealed who or what this mystery is. I beleve it is so devastating and abominable that mystery Babylon will not be revealed until that time during the tribulation. It has and will remain a mystery until it is revealed.
