We adopted our pittie from the shelter when he was 11. From what we know of his history, he had a hard traumatic life. We didn't get to spend his rambunctious years with him. He's an old, tired boy who just wants naps curled up next to a person. I hope he's happy.
That’s an amazing thing to adopt a senior dog that’s been in a stressful shelter and not knowing his history. These poor babies are used, abused and treated horribly and it breaks my heart. At least this sweet baby will know love and human affection for the rest of his days. I’m a rescue mom and I’ve had two pitties. There’s nothing like these sweet angels!!
@@amylindsey4509 They are perfect , just lost my adopted baby girl 😔, together 14 years , parted ways just shy of her 15th birthday , best years of my life 🥰🐶
Sorry bro, I know the feeling. March 21, 2024 I woke up and he didn't. He was 15, a pit/lab mix. I got him when I was 18 so he was with me at crucial moments in my life. He literally went everywhere with me. God blessed us with great friends.
May God be with you, in whatever way you feel arms of love around you. I give you mine in my heart, to wrap warm around you today. Your ability to love is why you will receive love. Sooner or later it will come. Until then, keep your heart open and kind.
All the Pits I've met have been sweethearts. Yes, pit bulls can be sweet and very loving, and very playful, but dogs have the intelligence of a two y.o. child. When Pits are raised and bred well, they can be great pets, but they have jaws that can break bones. Your human toddler doesn't have that. I live with an adorable and affectionate pit bull. As sweet as she is, I wouldn't leave her alone with a small child. She can destroy a new toy in minutes. It's not the dog's fault that they have lethal weapons and the mind of a small child, but it's the human's responsibility to recognize the risk and to be responsible dog owners.
of all the dog breeds pits are usually the best with children. theres a reason theyre called nanny dogs. thats the reason they chose a pit for "the little rascals" back in the day. And any dog can cause damage or death to a child. The only scars I have from childhood are from a German Sheppard bite and a chihuahua. ive been around every breed of dog and pits seem to be the most empathetic with humans.
I personally wouldn't leave a dog alone with a child without supervision a pit, lab or and dog... My yellow lab was a SWEETHEART with children but we never left her unsupervised not 4 fear of aggression but she could knock a child down on accident or anything non aggressive on accident. I also don't leave kids and a pet alone 4 my pets safety because some children don't know how 2 nicely interact so 4 everyone I always supervise.
@@flipnap2112 Every Chihuahua I've known has thought he was a Pit, and if they had the jaws of a pit, I would definitely not trust them with kids. They're cute, but bold and aggressive. The difference with a pit is their jaws are lethal, and they don't know it, because they're dogs.
I don’t even need to watch this video. I already know pitbull’s are amazing dogs. My family grew up with Pitbulls. We don’t have any pitbull right now. We only have golden retrievers but my mom and dad used to have a ton of pit bulls and pit bulls are actually my dream to get a Pitbull someday.
I have seen ferocious dogs, but our Baby only wants to play. She doesn't know violence. She only knows she can pull on the toy and we might let it go. If we win, she chases it. Game. End of story. Our Pit is friends with all the munchkin dogs on the block during walks. No aggression. She just wants to make friends. She has half a dozen on our block. A beagle, a pomeranian, I think, and a toy poodle are in the group.
I love my baby boy. He is a pit black lab mix (my two favorite dog breeds), and just the sweetest boy that puts a smile on my face every day just by seeing him 🥰
Mine was 1/2 English staffie and beagle..what a bag of sugar...but he inherited the beagle lungs. So he would howl with the beagle dedication and the terrier twill. He was a full on clown too. Not day would pass without him doing something ridiculously silly and giving me the crazy-~boy derp face. I miss him so much 😞 His name was Tyson.
I relate! It's our son's dog, so I've tried to not bond too deeply, but she is SO SWEET!!! She may be physically the most dangerous dog I've known, but her heart is all love.
I have had german shepherds half my life until I got my 1st pitbull. Don't get me wrong, german shepherds are great, but when I got my pit, that's when I seen a heart of love and gentleness. People don't understand what they never had having a pitbull or an American bully has changed my life for the better. The pitts are pure love and so faithful.
0:33 - I had a Rotten-Pitt that always walked backwards through the kitchen because of the slick floor. He'd enter at one end, walk backwards to the mat in front of the sink, do a 360 and continue out the other end still going backwards. Before Buddy, I had a lab that would freeze if she stepped onto a highly polished floor. Some dogs just don't like slippery surfaces.
I've had multiple dogs that did this! I never minded it but my Mom has pre-Civil War house and she occasionally has mice, so we put an area rug in the kitchen for her pit-doberman and her dog keeps the mice away as effectively as a cat.
My sweetie used to do that because she didn't like the smooth surface on the kitchen floor. She couldn't turn! She would walk in and moonwalk backwards out.
@@wenthulk8439 they trully are... 200% If I could see in how condition my brain was before meeting my dog in a shelter a how is it nowadays... the healing is very deep.. And I know that when hes gone Ill be happy , because im doing the impossible to make my dog days AWESOME. Ill be there when the inevitable occours with a big smile , because is the way that i want he go to the other world, cosmos.. whatever. Big hug from Spain!
0:18 my dog Roxy would do this all the time XD. I would sometimes wear something that just didnt fit me anymore and start rough housing with her and most of the time Roxy would just up on my sleeve and tear off a sleeve and then come back for another sleeve XD. I miss her so much, she was SUCH a funny dog
I love my pittie, she was a gift from a wonderful friend of mine after my lab passed from cancer. I never thought I would ever own a pit bull but omg! I absolutely love her. She loves to cuddle and greets everyone that comes to our home with licks and affection. I definitely would get another pit bull. These dogs don't deserve the reputation they have. They definitely are nanny dogs.
My partner has a pitbull cross with a whippet, he’s got the body of a pitbull but the head and legs of a whippet. He’s like a potato on cocktail sticks. Bless him, he’s an awesome dog and super obedient, he’s really gentle with the children and goofy as they come. Love ‘im, Bruce is a delightful addition to the family!
Ok but can you actually take him out without them pulling on their leash making you use all ypur strength. Are you actually trying to be an alpha male to them?
Pits get in trouble if they are not trained and socialized, then same as any dog . I lost my girl a couple of months ago and life will never be the same😢
My Sons Pit Bull is the most whimsy Dog I’ve ever seen. And I’ve had many digs in my life. He will actually put his paw outside on the ground before going out. If it’s too cold, he won’t go out. My Son has to boot him out. But he’s such a big baby❤️
I have an American Staffordshire which is part of the Pitbull breed list, and he's the biggest baby in the household. I sleep on a recliner currently and if he sees me not in it, he will snatch it. So stubborn that I need to offer him a treat to get him off. Pitbull breeds can be such crazy dogs in terms of chaos, but never really violence. Humans show higher violence levels towards dogs than dogs at all do to them.
As someone who has only ever owned pitbulls, american bullys, etc, They are very sweet! They are natural protective breeds, and do need proper training and socialization. Not only for others safety, but for the dogs's safety as well. Pitbull-like breeds are prone to be more villain-ized, so be sure that the dog is very well trained for your dog's safety
Remembering my sweet girl, Sasha. It's been over 15 years since we had to put her down(illness). She was the sweetest Pittie ever. It was like losing a child. I've never gotten over the loss
People have to understand that Pitbulls are as sweet as any other dog breed, as good as Labs even, the only reason they get a bad rap is Pitbulls are trained to be mean & they have strong bites, so assholes use them in dog fights because of that, you can train any dog to be just as mean if you train them to be mean, otherwise they are just normal lovable dogs…….
If anything around people they might be sweeter. Because if you're breeding a dog for dog fighting, you do not want to make it aggressive toward people. The handler has to go into the ring and get the dog after a fight, you don't want it to bite the handler.
The pitbulls I've known would do anything for their family. It breaks my heart to think how that loyalty could be betrayed to turn them into fighters. They don't want to be. They want to be loving protectors.
I have a 14lbs Carin terrier and I guarantee you if he was a pit bull, he would probably be put down. This is mainly due to how much we let him get away with over the years.
@@lazloperry5242 I'm sorry that happened. But the fact remains. Not all pits are like that. Every one I've met, be it one owned by family or strangers, were extremely friendly and fun to play with. It's all about how they are raised
My pitt is the best dog i've owned..... how people say they are not fit for families is insane...Shes super sweet, protective, listens off leash, very very smart
I just lost my best friend her name was Bella. She was the most caring loving friend I ever had. The best dog I've ever owned. A once in a lifetime pet. She picked me. I was everything to her. I couldn't move without my best friend being right by my side. She wouldn't even eat if I didn't stay near her bowl. There were times I thought she was a pain in the butt. Looking back with a completely shattered heart I realize just how blessed I was to have her. Pitbulls are just different. They have wide spread eyes about the distance of ours apart. They have these silly expressions they make. It's honestly like having human eye contact. I never felt alone with her and I could talk to her make jokes about her or sing silly songs about her and I swear she knew I was in love and just being silly. I cry everyday about her. I have her ashes and I talk to her still. I will never find another animal like her and I'm sixty one years old. I'm done with owning anymore pets. Like so many things taken from the middle class pet ownership has sky rocketed and I don't have the income to cover the expenses of vet Bill's. Especially if your beloved pet gets sick. These veterinarians claim to be animal lovers but they leave you a choice of go into debt thousands of dollars to just possibly save your pet or choose to end their lives. I was looking at $9,000 to $10,000 just for blood transfusions and a couple nights of hospital care. The dogs that been treated for the disease she got didn't last more than a few months of treatment after the blood transfusions. I didn't have $10,000 to give her a few more months. I have to live with that. Yeah I'm done having to make decisions like that.
Pitbulls are one of the sweetest family breeds in America if loved properly like any animal or human they will attack if they're scared or protecting someone or something that's nature for animals and humans but when it comes to pitbulls are big babies and the bigger they are the more baby they will act.
Love my Pit. Fantastic dog. Extremely powerful and loving. They can be very fragile to harsh discipline. A simple no, almost always works. Train them well because they can be scary if not. Mine is with family and children. They are great
this is true. its takes a great deal of abuse and beatings to create a dangerous pit (or any dog). I dont think ive ever seen any breed more abused and tortured than pits, its really a horror and im glad were seeing a public awareness to the horrors of dog fighting. they dont really need to be trained to be safe.. they just need love like any other dog and they do just fine. training is good for general discipline and how to interact with other dogs
This is blatantly untrue. Dogs are all individuals and just like some human beings can have mental impairments that can cause reactive anger, dogs can too. @@flipnap2112
That PIBBLE AT THE 2:31 Mark is a REALLY sweet and precious PIBBLE. Yeah, we should all be so damn LUCKY to be able to get a sweet PIBBLE just like that PIBBLE. You must show your pooch a ton of lovin. They sure do deserve it.
I just LOVE seeing the lovin between the Lady HUMAN and her BULLY GAL Pup. The human gal asks her BULLY pooch for a KISS, and then the bully pooch gives her human MOMMY a KISS. It's really sweet.
How can anyone not love these beautiful and adorable pit bulls as they have such wonderful personalities each one is different but they all have the same thing in common they all want to give lots of love and get the same in return and they all love lots of belly rubs and they always but smiles on your faces even when you have had a bad day and you open your front door and there they are just being goofy 😂😂😂that you cannot but help but just laugh your head off and then they jump into your lap and just give you lots of licks to show you how much they love you. Just love them and watching them on video does make me laugh.
This Video was a winner and had so many great clips.. Thanks 💯 The dog that Hopped down the hall, The moonwalking dog, the dog catching a fish, the dog using the water slide and The dog getting through the fence are all legens.. 💝🌹 The puppy swinging on the guy's sock, The dog jumping on the tune square , The dog shaking his butt, The little dog laying on the bigger one to watch T.V , And the puppy with a flower on his head were all 😂😍Adorable. *I did not like the one with the dog being told to shut up and how he was scared when she raised her hand as if to hit him.. 🤨☹
The breed that is most likely to be involved in a fatal attack is pit bulls. Pit bulls are both more likely to be involved in bite incidents and more likely to cause serious injury or death when a bite does occur. In fact, from 1979 to 1998, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined pit bulls were involved in the most fatal dog attacks, accounting for 28% deaths due to dog bites during that same time period.⁷ Pit bulls may present a greater danger than other breeds for many reasons, such as because they have been bred to be more aggressive, are less likely to back down during fights and are less likely to give a warning before a bite.
I really LOVE dogs that like to come off as if they are BAD DOGS, but, they are really sweet and good dogs. My family has had a couple of dogs like that. Sadly, we had 1 male dog like that, AND HE HAD CANCER. HE WAS A BOXER AND PITTY MIX. BOXERS get cancer frequently. It was very sad. I love all of our dogs. Living without a dog is just a very sad situation. Dogs are just mans PERFECT companion. Dogs are basically mans BFF, even if the people haven't really been aware of just how much that they NEED dogs.
Isaiah Amir Mustafa (born February 11, 1974) is an American actor and former American football wide receiver. Mustafa is widely known as the main character in a series of Old Spice television commercials, "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like".
People dont train thier dogs and thats what makes a bad pet. Thats about it. Any breed is a living family member if they are raised right. My dog has almost 3 times the bight force of a pit. She has past her good citizen test and is working twards being a service dog to me for disability. Put the time in folks!!! My favorite is the one that goes down the hallway in 2 strides
I have been watching the videos about Pitty's being really happy about having to swim with their owners, and they are really happy to take part in having FUN with their owners,
Didnt expect to see a rabbit nutting in a pitbulls nose in this wholesome compilation. Lmao even made the dog sneeze it out and look up like "wtf, you see that shit!"
Recently I was following a big twitter account, you probably know of it, it called Pitbulls Big Devils, monsters, etc. It made me sad but also relieved a lot of comments standing up for Pitbulls. Honestly, I believe it's all about one person's temperament and whether they can handle that breed. Pitbulls aren't what just anyone should have. Recently my family adopted an adult Rotweiller, they're not easy at all. It could easily overtake me. I think people forget that dogs are part of the wolf family. One has to be more strict and alpha around it. Whenever it sees its owner, it shows more respect than me lol.
These dogs are the most loyal, fun, protective and full of personality than any other dogs you can get. They are so animated and crazy they can make you laugh even if you're not in the mood😂.
Meh that’s not true at all. Many more loyal dog breeds than pits as well as more protective dog breeds. I work at a dog daycare and have worked with dogs for a few years now. Don’t believe just do a quick search on top loyal dog breeds and most protective dogs. They can definitely be sweet but that doesn’t mean they won’t bite or get crazy at times. For example if they get overstimulated they can randomly try to bite you. Pretty common with overstimulation.
They are the sweetest dog you can own. Once its brought up right and well integrated with surroundings. Like us all they can get scared. Nanny dogs 🙌🏻💚🇮🇪
