I have made decorations for vacation bible school, church plays, school plays, and parties for over 40 years. These goblets are inspired. I love their shapes, their colors and especially their price points. Thanks for the lesson.
Margaritagerman, Wow!, 40 years. They are quite easy to make and for a cool prop for a performance they could be made into any amazing shape or design. I wanted to make one that was wood. Maybe in another video to come! Good to hear from you and thank you always!
Thank you for the tutorial; I love recycling plastic/cardboard to make fun projects! I have to make a Goonie's One-eyed Willy Goblet. He and his ship went missing on the Oregon Coast in 1693, so it would need to be a 17th century goblet. He continually stole treasure from King Charles of England (over 100 ships, so the story goes...) so most probably they would be English, perhaps royal 17th Century. I have made the eye patch, and am working on aging the shiny white skeleton and clothing. I have ordered historically accurate, metal, Spanish Doubloons, faux gems, a chest, and a scale. The head scarf is alluding me, but I think it would be made of linen like their under garments. I am making a brocade justaucorps jacket, he is going to wear breeches with the front button flap, white socks and probably squared-toed dress shoes with a buckle. I have to also make a captain chair for him to sit in. Can you teach me how to make a goblet for him? Thank you!
I bought a goblet online from etsy. It was more historically accurate than the one in the movie. They used one that can still be bought online. It is a fancy goblet used for Shabbat. Thank you for your reply and God Bless you in your walk with the Lord. 🥰
Absolutely. That takes the prop to a whole new level. I was waiting for someone to ask me how to make Indiana Jones Movie the Holy Grail, he finds. And how to replicate that- or make one look like wood- using air dried clay.
@@pingandkvam Sorry I am late in replying.. okay let's see the Indiana Jones movie prop! Oh, and I have seen people buy plastic glasses at a dollar store or thrift shop and use air dry clay on the outside and then actually USE them to drink out of! lol
@@leonardofrangella LOL I think he meant for you to give him ideas on the medieval princess jewelry. like.. make it look like silver, jewel droplets, ruby color, or emerald, etc. wish we could post a pic of something in comments. Added note: maybe think Lord of the Rings style headwear.
Leonardo you always have good suggestions.^^That one- I am sure others would really want to create as well. Writing it down on my list of videos to make.
YES. I had create a full size 6 foot x 3 foot x 3 foot fortune teller with working lights for a photoshoot. A few pictures exist one is in my header above for Historical Recreations. I should/would/could make a mini one for a future video. But the lifesize one was a blast. It was constructed out of a discarded refrigerator box!
