The hair, the way Claudia moves, it’s 80’s in the best possible way. The band are so tight, you can tell that they are touring the life out of it. Incredible I absolutely love it. When she sings “the first cut won’t hurt at all” it makes my soul ache and transports me back to the best crazy decade of life.

To clarify for those of you who think they might be miming. The keyboard parts were lifted off the studio tapes and a click track added (notice there is no keyboard player). This click track is fed to the drummer, which is why he's wearing headphones, so he can play in time to the backing track. All other instruments and vocals are live. A lot of the keyboard parts were played on Stephen Lipson's Synclavier and I doubt Propaganda could have afforded one..
Thanks for this! You helped me understand why the syth sounded just like the studio version, while all the other parts sounded different... though quite faithful to the recording.

I saw them in Boston in 1985. I think the only other US gigs they did were 1 in NYC and 1 in Washington DC. I distinctly remember the collective gasp from the audience when Freytag and Brucken walked out to center stage. They were dressed immaculately, the crowd taken aback by how glamorous and sophisticated they looked. Then the music began and the crowd was spellbound for the length of the performance. One of the best and most memorable shows I've ever seen.
