Fiddle friends & fans, PLZ DO NOT CUT a healthy leaf off hoping it will successfully propagate into a new fiddle. A fiddle leaf fig leaf propagation without a node is similar to a Hoya kerri leaf, will it grow roots? Yes. Will it grow branches & leaves? 99.9% no… Propagate your fiddle when its healthy & at a spot where you want branching to occur on the fiddle you prune. You must have a node to propagate & at-least a portion of a healthy leaf for photosynthesis. You don’t want more than 2 leaves as water loss can occur. I know these leaf prop videos get views but they are not helpful for ppl who are trying to learn. Has a leaf ever propagated & grown into a fiddle, yes, but theres a reason 99.9% don’t & i’m not here to preach or teach, just don’t want ppl chopping off ff a leaf that will never grow back.
