I'm glad you explained the butane and cold weather. I changed my cook stove from propane to butane stove which i also use for heat in my van and couldn't light it in the morning and about froze! Now i carry both stoves
Thanks for the knowledgeable rundown of the different kinds of fittings. I too would have liked to see closeups, as well as at least a list of the items and their designations, if not an actual set of links.
damn right! I have been so confused. I want to go canoeing in a far off place, for weeks. Campingmoon makes great adapters, but camping butane cans seem to have long and short nozzles, threaded and unthreaded, some for filling lighters and some for cooking stoves. Maybe time for a new update! Thanks.
I got confused with adapters needed for my needs. I'm going from Coleman single burner small backpack stove meant to go to lindal. I want to run on my 2.5 lb propane tank. Thanks so much for the video and for Rey in advance.
So the Lindal to Coleman does work both ways.. it makes sense that it would but most of the other videos on the subject just talk about Lindal stoves being used with propane with the adaptor. I'm going to add the butane converter to my bag also now.
VERY smart making a disclaimer especially in 2023 ESPECIALLY with humans, "If you burn your house down and you're an idiot..." Yes, a lot of people are and a LOT of people WILL injure themselves at the very least. =P Been contemplating moving from simple wood and briquettes to various combinations like you have here, for a couple years now, re-looking at my amazon shopping cart and updating ALL this equipment, this video helped out, thank you. =D
You should have linked to the adapters, the audio is poorish, you could have used subtitles, i still can't find an adapter to use lindel on propane stoves, help me with a link, amazon especially, or ebay.
This being your last video did you explode from the adapters. (Just joking) Have you tried the lantern with the butane? Also how does the propane torch work with the butane adapter? Any problems?
Wanna try to figure out how to run butane on my camper van propane system because I want to travel south of the border and I heard other overlanders say they only sell propane for commercial uses in Latin America and everything is ran on butane
That's how I ended up here too. I'm looking to buy a jetboil genesis to run off a 5# prooane growler. I'd like to get the Eureka SPRK grille to run directly off the growler with a 2 way splitter, or through the Genesis with the Jetlink hose. But I need to find an adapter to for the SPRK. Have you found anything to do that?
I wonder if you check your youtube. If you do, i need your advice - what type of adapter i would need - for a one burner Coleman stove (butane ) to switch to propane in Europe. I just need to provide compatible kits with these stoves to people to be able to use small portable stoves for survival in Ukraine. Butane may not be suitable I understand, because of cold, plus propane is more widely available. What is the name/s of that adapter so i don’t make a mistake before shipping these kits. Thanks
