These work really well, but use more propane than the tank can evaporate off so your tank will ice up fast. Especially if you only use a 20 lb tank. Best to manifold two tanks together with the Mr Heater 2 tank kit #F273737. Makes a big difference in performance and tanks can keep up with heater.

I don’t even know why I’m saying this because I’m not the one that’s in the building with you. But as a blue rhino 20 pounder exchange delivery driver. Just doing some research on some garage or shed heaters. The biggest mistake I see all you youTubers reviews are doing. Is they give you a long hose why are you leaving that propane tank within 2 to 3 feet from a open flame. If anything goes wrong with that propane tank while you’re using it with that open flame heater bye-bye. With that tank being cold now your warming it up fast. The pressure release valve can release pressure for any reason at any time. With it being that Close to the open flame there’s no time for you to react before things turn into a fireball.

You mentioned that the first time you used the heater that the flame was real small, did you do anything different to fix that? I bought one of these, and its only worked effectively once out of the 10 times I've tried to use it, not sure what im doing wrong. I even exchanged it at menards for a fresh one and its doing the same thing

Alright right after writing this i went out to fuck around with it some more, and remembered that the instructions say to open the propane tank slowly. So I tried that, and the flame is much bigger, much hotter. Not something I would've thought would matter. I tired it again opening it fast, and it gave me a small flame again. Moral of the story, open the propane tank valve slowly before ignition. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the regulator valve? Total guess, im not a plumber or HBAC specialist haha. Thanks for the vid

@@tylerellefson2417It’s actually a safety valve I believe that closes it when there’s a surge of gas. If you surged it into the heater you could end up flame throwing yourself.

Im a truck driver. Im tired of leaving the truck running the whole night just so i can get some heat. Would you recommend me using this inside a box truck?

Hey zimba…, Nooooooooo! There is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning - needs to be well ventilated. Plus - there is an open flame. Lots of risk. BUT - maybe check this out to get some ideas… ( dragonflyenergy.com/the-power-struggle-for-long-haul-truck-sleeper-cabins/) Lithium battery technology is getting better every day. I don’t know how big your cab is but lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) can sustain continuous demand for electric heating solutions. They can be initially expensive, but the payoff in the long run will surely beat the fuel expense of running the diesel engine for endless hours. A little more affordable - heated clothes, …. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Nyx_hSVR4f4.htmlsi=pBeaaZHG4ogSjbG7… sleeping bags, and pads can be found online or Cabalas, Bass Pro Shops etc. I’m sure there are many more electric options out there. Hope that helps. Thx for watching!

Do you have to be ontop of it to feel normal? How far do you think that heat carries?
@Housebarons
@Housebarons 11 месяцев назад
Hey Jaguar, Yes. You have to be pretty close. Could warm up a smaller room gradually. Great for working on car brakes in winter garage… will not heat entire garage well though, just take off the chill? Great for thawing pipes - that kind of thing! Helpful in spring or fall heat… Hope that helps.
