Bless you @altereddail!! I thought my gas was out one day because I could not get my stove to work. I took it to be refilled and when I returned and put it back....all I got was a very small flame and then nothing. I did your pressure release trick and VIOLA!!

And, if open tank valve too quick and pressure drops too fast for too long (like if hose is long or burners are alrrady open) a ball bearing is forced by flow into tank valve and stays thus dropping flow to a trickle. Closse of all and wait and then open tank slow w burner closed... i was stumped like an idiot till i realized yes i kept dropping the pressur too fast and tank ball bearing was jamming into valve and it sticks til its unstuck... So this is often the damn problem till realize this issue and avoid it!!!

That is a bleeder screw it will spray liquid propane out when your tank is 80% full that's what it's for it only should be opened when tank is being filled I am a propane tech and work with it every day

Thanks for the tip. It fixed my propane lockout. We drove from up in Wyoming/SD to Illinois. No propane,just wish saw your video before buying a new regulator. Another rv lesson learned thx.

Thanks for the tip. I loosen the screw to release and then tighten it back up. Did this in combination to cleaning the Mr. Heater flame outlet orifice to get it working again.

First try cooling the tank, often it's just an excess pressure caused by the tank and valve heating up.

Thank you for the fix. Problem was it got a little cold and valve got stuck on two of my tanks. AmeriGas is useless, couldn't help at all they just want your money.

Propane can really get gummed up under certain condiitons. Don't let your pressurized hose be in the sun or get hot, the propane turns to goop. Turn the tank off first and burn off the contents of the hose to prevent issues. You can blitz clean your hose by using something like a small hex key to poke down the check valve and clear the goop if goop is already present. That same goop will ruin your pressure valve and that is not as easy to clear: buy a new pressure regulator bummer is yours.

I did that and the propane tank is still not working.

Is that only good for elevation or cold as well? My wave 3 heater in the van worked in Aug in a test run but come late fall the fukr wouldn't light period. Manufacturers were saying that it was the regulater but I I had it working beforehand but only once. I ditched the wave 3 into my storage unit and bought a lil buddy and had no problem. Wave 3 $345 lil buddy $75......😂

That most likely won't actually be the fix to the problem. If you close the valve then open it slowly it will be more likely to fix your issue.

The tank is a closed system. Going over a pass which changes the atmospheric pressure OUTSIDE the tank will have ZERO effect on the propane tank pressure INSIDE the tank. Temperature is the only variable that will affect the vapor pressure of the propane in the head space of the tank. Higher temperatures will increase the propane vapor pressure inside the tank.
