Awesome video! Just ordered 2023 Transit and start to think about propane stuff. I wonder what type of plumbing you plan to use to bring propane to inside. Metal tubing? Thanks.
Hi - we are just now getting around to this in our build and we decided after reading on the transit forums and a blog post from faroutride that we will be using copper tubing. Here is their post: faroutride.com/propane-system/
Hello again Brit and Mike. I finally was able to purchase one of those tanks on Ebay. I was wondering if you have research adding a remote level monitoring system to the gauge. The though of crawling underneath to check the level is not too very appealing to me.
@@britandmike I will get my tank tomorrow and have ordered a replacement level indicator with distance read out. I will keep you posted if it a viable solution. I have learn so much from your video and its saving me tons of time. THANK YOU! for doing the video It take a lots of time to keep it going. Would be nice if I can help you just a little bit.
Great to see your build in progress. We are getting the 148 HR Ext in about a month and will be doing and using similar products (great minds think alike !) so as the the band The Police say "I'll be watching you". Does your van have the electrical parking brake? Ours will so I was wondering if you had to make any modifications for it. thanks and happy building!
How exciting, congrats on your van! We do have the electrical parking brake that’s located in the lower left of the dash. We haven’t had to make any modifications for it at all, when we ordered our van we found out that Ford moved the brake there for 2021 models onward. I have seen that it used to be on the floor to the right of the driver seat, and people had to move it to put in a driver swivel, which sounds like a pain!
@@britandmike Thanks! I trying to come up with a design to keep the battery in the van and not mounting it underneath. Thinking about a LP locker for a 5 gal with a vent hole drain
serious question- could I hire yall to do this to our van LOL I would love to do an undermount but we're a literally nervous about install and the clearance. This was an awesome video!
Haha, you can definitely do it!! We are total novices and we’re able to figure it out. But let us know if you have any questions we’re happy to try and help!
What seats do you have? Ordering a 2023 soon and would like to know what type of seat you ordered from ford. There are quite a few options and I hear some of them (like the 10 way power seat) don’t work well with scopema swivel bases due to the seat motor location.
I found your videos today and I’m obsessed!! It’s giving me so many ideas for my dream van! I want to do a ford transit as well. I’m tall too so I like it’s height. Was wondering about the bed. Will it for a standard Queen side to side?
Thank you so much! We are planning to sleep side to side. The widest point across from wall to wall is 77", and the walls are curved, so that widest point is 36" high from the floor. We will have the width of a queen but will have to take a few inches off the bottom of the bed. We had been using this helpful video with all the dimensions to plan our layout: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IqRYt2cWTdI.html
Hi - we hadn't heard that, but we read our tank has a liquid fill identification and an internal 80% fill stop so that it can't be overfilled. We just recently installed a remote fill kit so that it can be filled from underneath the bumper on the driver's side.
