I’ve been doing Waterproofing for 23 years work for all different kinds of companies and he’s 100% right. The box system are trash the way he was doing it. It was perfect.
Hey man. I've been watching your videos and I just installed this system in my basement (DIY) the way you recommended. Saved me a time and money. I'm glad I did, it is working just fine. Thanks for the educational videos. Keep m coming 👍
Wow! I was looking at buying this box system. Yikes! Glad there's still real tradesmen left in this world. Do you put a layer of gravel under your ads or just lay the pipe and pour gravel over it?
@@BigMike617 what are your thoughts on using filter fabric and the high octane in trenches? I see alot of companies that dont use it and some that do. I would like your opinion on this
I have seen some companies dig the trench similar to you, but leave areas of the floor still attached to the footing/foundation. They say these "Engineering tabs" allow greater support for the foundation and the floor. Is this something you do?
Does the system you're installing lower the outside water table? Also, would the gap between the wall and floor to allow the water flow from the footer release smells?
At a Bruins game or Sully’s Pub at 5:15pm. I’ll be there tonight. Just kidding, I won’t be there; but the guy you are looking for will. Just being humorous…yes, I am from Boston and we are real men that can fix shit!
When you cut in a trench that wide that separates the slab from any support from the footer, what do you do to make sure the slab doesn’t start settling? I have one contractor telling me the deep drain is the way to go and one who says the deep drain will cause structural instability for the slab and it could start to crack and shift. Do you add any support for the slab?
I wish you was here in Indianapolis Indiana, I'm glad I came across you videos...just got a estimate for one of them box system $11,000 for one side of my basement but if not that for the whole basement 23,000 with 2 sump pumps....and I have 1083.3sq ft basement
