They really need to make tech that counters the Initiative/monarch. Maybe something that deals damage every time your opponent goes deeper in to a dungeon? The mechanic is aggressively obnoxious at generating value.
would really love to see what you would do to remake the deck. I wonder if ability to loop Avenging Hunter would be decent? I've also considered more beatdown Tortex with stuff like Blanchwood Prowler, Carrion Feeder, and Kitchen Imps
I've got another version of Tortex that it would be interesting to see you play. It's more of a control version without the infestations, giant, or trees. It runs the madness imp, mainboard rats, and a different creature toolbox as well as a more black focused land set. And funnily enough it's on the YT channel of your round 5 opponent.
The fact that they banned just Swiftspear tells me the people in charge of Pauper do not play the format It's a good card, it was a good piece of the deck, but burn didn't drop in rankings at all after it was removed
It was correct to ban, but they immediately printed a replacement in Goblin Tomb Raider, so it doesn't seem like they did anything. Red would be even better if it had access to both.
