Thank you! I’m an amateur (very amateur) builder and I’m putting together an electric outboard, but I’ve never used thrust bearings before in my life! Your explanation of how they’re used is so concise and simple to understand and will let me finish my project.
Hey man I need some help could you apply the flex bearing to a trick scooter to give the wheel play room to tilt side to side just a little to kinda act like a bushing on a skateboard trucks. Some people that scooter leave their axle bolt loose to add play room for balance on manuals
Hi Matthew, I would not recommend using a flex coupler for a ride-on application such as a scooter. The amount of radial load you'll put on it will surpass the limits of the coupler. Please let us know should you have any other questions tech@servocity.com.
What about ballbearing preloading?... It is supposed You should not touch the outer race of the ballbearing. I dont see any preloading element (shim, pressure washer, elastic washer).
