Horror/sci-fi soundtrack textures, drones, noisy patches, weirdness. There is some of that in this set, but it is still what I suggest. This synth is good at that stuff.
@@BullyMaguire4ever I love that suggestion. I’m actually have way a new set focussing mainly on the FM capabilities which are very strong, especially in combination with other features… I will certainly explore more horror and sci-fi textures! Thanks.
How about emulating some classic Roland, Korg, Oberheim and Prophet 5, DX7 patches... or close to them...a one stop synth that can get close to some real classic sounds...I know the synth is more than capable
This is wonderful. Would love to hear a dedicated pack that focuses on the FM, tuned feedback and Wavetable sounds of the P12... just embrace that digital edge.
I agree. This synth has serious fm, and wavetable capabilities. The Tuned Feedback adds a unique flavour. Often patchbanks are focused on “analog” feel. I wanted to show it’s strongpoints in every department.
@@oscarvanderburgh9915 that's what I like about it! I have enough analog synth and don't need another emulated one. So using each for its strength makes a lot more sense to me
This synths till holds its own with newer released synths, all because it has its very own character and doesn't sound bland. It's a programmer's synth with a very easy UI for programming.
I used it yesterday in a jam session and it’s stellar how organic this synth can sound. After all these years and dozens of synth releases it still holds his own.
@@oscarvanderburgh9915 have thought about it , but having one knob per function is really appealing for sound design purposes. So think im going to hold out for the keyboard. Holding onto the money whilst waiting for another to show up is the biggest problem!!!
I agree. It is great to have all the knobs! It’s just that the workflow on the module is like no other module. They went the extra mile! Although it doesn’t look like it at first site. Go for the key version! But don’t hesitate on the module if you find a great deal! ;)
I actualy like the knob setup, it's one of the best thought out interface designs every made. I made all the presets on the p12 without using the SoundTower software except for a few sequencer options that are'nt available directly.
Amazing soundbank! Gotta know how you created the #JayJay patch?? Have been looking for how to make this type of sound to no avail.. what would you call this type of sound, anyway? Thanks a ton. :)
Ah! Thanks. These type of sounds are made by frequency modulation on the filter. But I might have used some decimate… not sure… Look for some sweetspots…
Hi there!! Thanks for your interest! Personally I use the SoundTower software. I have no experience with Codeknobs. However, I provided 2 formats. One is general .sys and should work with any software and can be imported directly to the prophet 12 with midiox. Please let me know how it goes!
@@oscarvanderburgh9915 thanks for your reply. Other .sys files are imported with no problem. I get a "Can't recognise file data' notice when I try to import them.
Hi, just bought it, but it is in p12b format. What is this? Could you please also provide as plain sysex (single sounds or banks)? I use knobkraft as my librarian for many of my synths including my P12. thanks
Hi Markus! I updated the productpage. Standard sysex is now included in the download. Let me know if you need anything from me! And please let me know what you think of the patches! ✌🏻
