Even though Planet Murrrca isn't simply reporting news, there's still serious journalism principles in all your discussions, explanations, interviews, analysis and editorial views. The e-mail address, is all we need to be sure it was him, because on the internet, there is this long standing "norm" that when you register on a site (and this includes forums) you receive a message on the e-mail address you registered, so you can complete the activation of your user on the site. So we do know that whoever created that user account, had to have access to that mailbox, in order to successfully conclude the account registration. And logic dictates that, the only person to have access to a known e-mail address for Mark Robinson, will be, Mark Robinson. There is zero chance that account is not his, he is obviously lying. All the remaining reasons are just bonus, which are mostly, irrelevant to prove that it is him or not, since none of that information can be reliably verified. But since MAGA is nothing more than a cult, that would probably have no impact over that voting block, but might make a dent on undecided and independent voters.

The results in all states are important, not just the swing states. Ohio should vote Democrat just to show Trump that they cannot be messed with. For example, Trump won Tennessee with 60.66% of the vote in 2020, almost tied with his 60.72% vote share in 2016. Democrats will not win Tennessee but if Trump loses say 5/6% of his 2020 margin, let’s say he wins by 55.3% well that screams volumes. He will not be able to say that the swing states were rigged if Harris wins them by 3/4 %, because he lost 5/6% of voters in Tennessee. So, DNC give Tennessee candidates a hand with their funding. They deserve it. Go out and vote everyone, whichever state you live in.

In the end the vote count in Dade County went o George W Bush, which ultimately led to George W Bush being declared the winner of the presidential election. This is the important part of the story that was left out that the listeners of this pod cast need to know. Incidentally, the same thing happened in 2004 with Florida and the hanging chads. Which led to John Kerry losing to George W. Bush. Incidentally, the governor of Florida on during both elections in 2000 and 2004 was none other than Jed Bush, George W. Bush’s younger brother. No corruption or voter tampering there, ay?

Excellent job, good Aussie perspective. Two points, the moderators in the debates being harder on Trump wasn't bias towards Harris--it was that Trump was doing more lying. Second, while I sure hope that Lichtmann is correct, his model is about as far as one can get from being scientifically rational. It is reductive--it takes past events and creates categories to fit the results. He applies them to all past elections, most of which were not all that close, making his "keys" even less meaningful. On the remaining close elections these "keys" are little more than a very slightly weighted coin flip. The fact he's gotten 3 of 4 of these right is quite unremarkable. He may be an articulate historian, but he needs to study some statistical methodology.
I get the impression Prof Alan Lichtman is real frustrated with criticism for his model. That paradox of academic fame/notoriety. He has likely conflated popular and electoral college voting in the past because when you talk a hundred times you end up saying the wrong thing in the details often. The Prof is likely over selling the model but I do like how he answers the criticisms of the 2000 election, which was exceedingly corrupt both at the time and in retrospect. I think there is probably a middle path where the model used to consistently predict both the electoral college and popular vote but drift of the electorate and voter suppression has so warped how those two things relate he has has to narrow his talking points like you said.

Do yourself a favour and look deeper into the page transparency information of the pages that are posting those memes. A large percentage of them are based in Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. They are content farms. Not real people. The same goes for a lot of the people who comment on those posts, too. Blank accounts with a couple of political memes and no regular activity.

There is always a gap between social services and changes. When the the mental hospital closed and released the patients, there was an influx into the community, but expansion of social services had not been implented to service their needs.
And early job of mine, I worked in a New York state hospital. When the lawmakers, in their infinite wisdom, released all of the residents into mainstream society, they failed to make available to them, the social services they would need to enter successfully into modern society. We are reaping that neglect now.
Thanks for you efforts guys - I was however a bit disturbed early in this ep to hear the 'both sides' thing being talked about like they're equivalent. The 'false equivalency' works for the benefit of Trump in a hugely disproportionate way. These candidates are being held to very different standards - and the 'threat to democracy' thing isn't a piece of throw away rhetoric. It's supported by reams of evidence and actions (Jan 6 report is a thorough read). To not accept the outcome of an election (deemed free and fair after all the court proceedings) is the definition of a threat to democracy - so it shouldn't be treated in the same way as the myriad of crazy and unfounded attacks Trump throws out. Saying they're 'both doing it' minimises the degree of Trumps threats and lies.
J6 was an inside job against Trump. Notice how we haven't seen attempts against Dims? Notice how the pipe boomer was never caught? Notice how the courts dismissed cases based on "standing" rather than evidence? Notice how the courts determined the drop boxes with no chain of custody were completely illegal? Notice how the dims fight off any and all efforts to clean up voter rolls or make sure people have to verify they are actual citizens and eligible to vote? If you wanted truly free and fair elections wouldn't you want to make sure that the votes are from actual legal voters or just make sure that whoever can stuff the ballot box the best has ALL the votes counted, even the illegal ones?

I’d also like to know which level of govt was required to tick off on the succession of new industries that set up in Springfield.
