Phill proposed to me in my living room before leaving for the Grand Canyon. He wanted to make sure he was able to surprise me. He was trying on his suit for fit while I got ready. He had a hiring conference coming up, so it wasn't weird that he had a suit on! I was bringing the full length mirror from my room for him to use. I hadn't even combed my hair after my shower and thought he wanted to have a picture taken (by his GoPro he had just set up) with me.
