Really if you have an old building you need to respect it. The double door ruins the look of the building and the vertical column chopped off looks horrid. Surely just drop the two seperate windows down to make two doors with the column still there. Awful! Clearly the conversion has had to be done leaving the very unusual appearance in tact as original and now it is ruined.

Poor shoddy work . You needed to prop the joists internally as well to remove the second steel to insert a tray damp with weep holes . It will fail a building inspection.

I agree it is shoddy. With old buildings you need to come up with ways round. I would put a flashing just above the inner steel that then ran into the front leaf and out through weep holes. As it is the cavity runs into the room.
