I just purchased and installed the ProPride P3 hitch on my 2016 F150/2020 Salem Hemisphere 22RBHL. Here is a quick video to show you hitching, maneuvering, and unhitching. Nothing fancy but shows how it looks in use.
Can you tell me How well does your f150 pull? What engine are running and tow package? An airstream is in the future and looking to get new truck for 2023. Really don't want an F250.
@@jntaylor63 Ecoboost, max tow package, 3.73 rear end. Plenty of towing power for our 28’ FCloud. Payload is on the low end. Hitch weight is about 1k pounds which only leaves us 600-700 pounds for people and stuff.
Have to show it fighting Sway; need two camera's angles. One showing TT from a the Bed view and the other as you are showing it here. Yes a little more work on the visual tech side; but you'll build a confidence level on hitch!
correct me if I'm wrong. It seems that this system uses the little wiggle room and the tension of the bars to counter the minor movements the truck may have, but that's the sway coming from the truck, which is not the case most of the time. From my personal experience, the sway from passing by large vehicles on highway is the problem, which the wiggle room this system gives seems counter-intuitive. I would think Equal-i-zer is a better system.
The trucks passing me was my biggest reason for getting this hitch. With my equalizer, this trailer would pull me off the road with almost every truck that passed. With this hitch that problem is completely gone. This past summer I driver over 3k miles around Washington and Oregon in a mix of highway and mountain travel and I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the performance of the hitch. It does everything they claim it does and then some. I've never felt more confident towing.
@@pjmchale shit, I just bought a equalizer. But I remember I didn't have any swings that only time I used it. How much is your trailer weight? I wonder if that plays in a factor?
I am buying a used Airstream with this system. The previous owner spoke highly of it. My tow vehicle is a 1968 Mercury full side sedan. This could be a bit interesting!

I noticed that you have the back-up target mounted on the trailer frame. Have you tried using the back-up assist with the ProPride hitch? If so, can you share how you set it up. We have a new F-250 with the back-up assist and a are installing a P3 hitch, too.
I couldn't get it to work because the trailer is so much further back from the truck now...the truck wouldn't recognize the sticker and during the setup, the measurement from the camera to the sticker is further than the truck lets you input. I contacted ProPride and they sent me some info from other owners on how they got it to work. I've stored the trailer for the winter so I'll try it in the spring.
@@pjmchale Just ordered my hitch. I am very interesting about the Pro back up feature too. Were you able to get it to work? I really like that feature on my Ford.
Have to ditto the comments about needing another visual reference point to see how sway is reduced or eliminated and sway is only an issue at speed on the main roads. Would not consider the purchase if this video was the part to impress.
Not here to bash ...just have a question..when you turn it looks like the hitch point shift to the inside. Does this make your trailer chop the turning radius? I mean im turning and I think the rear of my trailer tires will clear the curb..and bang it turned in tighter than I thought.
I actually get a much better turning radius with this since the hitch articulates the way it does. Turns are much smoother and you can even turn extremely tight
I did about 3k miles of travel this past summer with the hitch and I have to say, it was a night and day difference over the Equalizer I had been using. Their claims are 100% correct, I haz zero sway, even at 70+mph, traveling through the mountains in the PNW, and especially when having trucks pass me on the highway! I'm extremely impressed!
Absolutely I'd like to see it on the highway with a trunk passing you and you passing other vehicles cuz to me it looks like the trailer still all over the place
With the 10s of thousands of miles that I have pulled my trailers and campers the only times that I have had sway was when it was improperly loaded. I am 100% behind a shocker or similar hitch. But, this is just a bandaid for either not loading your TT properly and/or using the wrong truck trailer combination. So many times I have witnessed the aftermath of toy haulers swaying and crashing a family and The wrong tow vehicle with the wrong setup behind it.
They’d spend that much only when they understand the huge difference in the dynamics and how it works. Anyone commenting that it does the same thing has never towed with one and never will because they don’t want to learn towing dynamics. You can buy a tent for camping shelter at much less than 15% of a travel trailer but people buy travel trailers for the added benefits the features offer. The 3P is no different.
@@honeydiesel7690 Yea it works. It helps with sway and it’s a WDH. But It weighs almost 200lbs and cost $3300. There are PLENTY of fantastic anti sway and weight distribution options out there that are quality products.
People come along and comment who don’t have a clue about the towing dynamics offered in the design. Here’s an analogy… you can use a tent for camping shelter or a travel trailer for camping shelter. That’s the same differential when comparing a 3P “hitch” to any other friction-based sway “control” hitch. The 3P does not control sway because it never lets it start. Anyone who comments otherwise is just ignorant to the physics.
@@scz718645 I agree, this is the hitch for people that don't know how to load and hook up a trailer while trying to pull too much weight with their half ton. Its what they all end up with trying to tow to the max weight, or more, with a half ton. Half tons are only good for about 5k trailer weight.

I pulled a 15,760 lb enclosed Wells Cargo trailer 4,250 miles from Virginia to Alaska with a 2017 F-250 with airbags and a RAW of 7,700 lbs. I never had a problem. So this $3,000 hitch does the same thing my $10 2 5/16" ball (that I picked up at a yard sale) did? But I can keep $2,990 in the bank? little girl - daddy can we go get ice cream? daddy - no sweetie, daddy spent all his money on a trailer hitch that we'll use twice a year to go camping little girl - but daddy I want ice cream daddy - THAT'S ENOUGH, DON'T MAKE ME TAKE OFF MY BELT AND WHACK YOU ACROSS YOUR BEHIND AND TEACH Y0U A LESSON!
