Second hand smoke is a danger and a nuisance-let’s face it, cigarette smoke is heinous. Thank you for a great video!! Very helpful. This is definitely going to be a place for me!!
Glad you liked it Linda! We also appreciate the option of having a non smoking property. The Plaza is also going to have a non smoking area, but not completely non smoking like Park MGM.
Stayed at Park a couple of times with another scheduled this fall. Really enjoy the property and what it has to offer. No longer a smoker so I REALLY appreciate the Non smoking designation. Wife has issues with smoke so it's great to be able to not have to even think about it here.
My family and I LOVE that it's non smoking. We spend all day consumed in smoke and it's nice to end the day with smoke free air. It gives our eyes and lungs a break, which in turn allow us to "keep going" longer.
Same! It was weird being at Park for 2 days and then going to a regular casino, it felt like everyone was smoking! LOL, Don't get me wrong, I'm a former smoker and believe in "to each his own", but it is nice to have a break.
Great run down of the pros and cons! Walking through the casino just a week ago, the vibe felt classy yet fun for all ages, without being crazy busy. My family and I love food, so we're always looking at Vegas through that lens. We stopped in specifically to get lunch at Eataly on our way out of Vegas. The stand inside Eataly with "fritti" (fried food) and "panini" (Italian grilled sandwiches) is the best! Everyone goes to the pizza stand and it's good, but the fritti/panini stand is the real star. If I were staying on property and wanted coffee, I would skip Starbucks and get coffee at Caffe Lavazza in Eataly. The coffee is far superior, there was no line whatsoever, and the desserts there are things of beauty. The House of Gaga was a nice little surprise and worth stopping in if you love fashion and want to look at some of her incredible pieces up close. A friend of mine is a DJ at On The Record nightclub . I haven't been there yet, but it looks like a fun experience with a mixed crowd and relaxed vibe. He plays the Soul Sonic Afterparty there on certain nights and Anderson Paak sometimes comes in and hangs out.
Park MGM has grown on me the past couple of years. I’ve enjoyed their simple casino layout, connection through the tram to aria/bellagio, and location.
It does seem like the type of property certain personality types would fall in love with. Big without being to big, hits all the basic with style without being crazy. Great mix of cozy and style. Especially that style having the old Monte Carlo swagger that no other place has in Vegas. Then a prime location on top of everything else.
I absolutely love the no-smoking policy. If I'm sitting at a slot machine that's paying off, I don't have to worry about moving due to the smell of smoke. There are no ashtrays filled with dirty ashes and butts. The air is really clean, and your fellow gamblers just look a lot healthier 😁.
My parents used to love the Monte Carlo. The layout with registration next to the room elevators and then leading directly to the casino was perfect for them, as they had mobility issues. I do like Park MGM, and always visit their casino multiple times during my trips because they are non-smoking. The tram to Aria and Bellagio is convenient: I usually stay at Bellagio because they have better rooms. I don’t stay at Park MGM because of the rooms. I expect quality hotel rooms to have a soaking tub and shower: the bathrooms and the hotel room in general are too small. People attending a concert on site or an event at T-Mobile Arena will like the rooms just fine. I wish MGM Resorts would give up and add free mini refrigerators to their rooms.
All of the same reasons we love it! The Pool is pretty nice too! Hope you have a wonderful trip and thank you for watching / commenting, we appreciate you!
I chose Park MGM for my My Vegas night. . I was impressed with it even over the VDara. I love the pools ,location, Non Smoking, access to NY NY,MGM and Eataly
I love staying at Park mgm. It's close to the airport, it's quiet cause it's not at the center of the strip and the Dolby theatre is literally downstairs from your room. Some cons would be no refrigerator or coffee maker in the rooms. But there's a target nearby to buy some groceries and there's also a Starbucks in the hotel
We were just there 2 days ago - didn't stay just visited the casino, love the non smoking, air is clean and don't have to worry that I am going to have to leave a machine because a smoker comes to set beside me. I am a reformed smoker so I know it both ways. VP pay scales were low but likely no different that any other strip casino at the quarter level. I like the fact that they have music playing and Friday from 1-3 pm the drink service was great. In the two hours that I was there I was offered a cocktail or beverage 5x's. The casino was busy but no so much that I couldn't play the machines that I wanted to. After your room review I hope to stay there my next trip.
I remember walking through the Monte Carlo once and not being impressed. There also wasn't really anything else in the area. Once they built T-Mobile Arena and the Park area and remodeled the Park MGM we went back and love it! Thanks for watching and sharing, we appreciate you! Aloha, Sebastian
😂 that’s funny! Time just goes by so fast! I have to remind myself that when I start playing Pai Gow at 10:30 PM and next thing I know it’s 2:30 am and I have ten missed calls from my wife!
Excellent review. I would put the Park MGM high on my list for my next trip to Vegas to concentrate on the major sights at the south end of the strip. My favorite hotel is the Mirage.
We really like that it's non-smoking, not saying anything against smokers, I smoked for MANY years and loved it. I just don't anymore and enjoy not having smoke in my clothes. CVS next door is a nice bonus. Also, the ABC store across the street has some great deals on drinks including water!
Love that this venue is non smoking, about time the rest of the hotels moved towards this stance, it's actually crazy that smoking is still allowed given the known health risks. Also I've seen other people recommend Crack Shack, definitely going to try it on my next Vegas visit.
We were just talking about! Thats one of the hotels that we never seem to get a deal on! Its always sold out when we want to stay or $300+ per night. We are keeping an eye on it and will as soon as we can. Have you stayed before? We really enjoy the casino and all of the restaurants!
We always stay at NoMad or Park MGM absolutely love the no-smoking policy, We would like to see a larger slot machine gaming area and a regular all-American restaurant open... Eataly food doesn't do it for Us.
Hi we just got to the Nomad last night from the UK. We tried the $20 trick and got a upgrade the room is beautiful. We had a little look around park it really nice to.
Staying here now. Got a Nightingale Suite for $125 . No resort fee since I got Gold status with MGM. It was actually cheaper to stay here in a suite than it was staying at the Luxor. First time here and we like it. Will definitely be back.
Have fun! We love Park MGM and the pool area is really nice too. You also have access to the Tram which is a great way to get to Bellagio! Thanks for watching and hope you have a great trip!
Resort fees waved for Gold and above....i wish it was Pearl & parking free for Pearl and above I like Park MGM but one of the mild cons for people considering it is that those blinds, while awesome as blackout shades, make some noise when you raise and lower. You can hear your neighbors raising and lowering their shades fairly clearly. No big deal unless its 7:00 am, then its noticeable and a bit annoying. Pools are super chill btw, relaxing and not at all the party pool of MGM Grand or old MC. Its actually a nice place to spend a mid morning, early afternoon.
My younger brother and I stayed at the Monte Carlo several times. He has since passed from cancer two years ago, so I do have some cherished memories of our time there. I especially remember the good times my brother and I had eating at the Monte Carlo buffet. I see several comments calling the new Park MGM bland. I agree. I don't smoke, but I thought it was so 'Las Vegas' when I saw a cigarette machine in the slots area. Look up old pictures of the Monte Carlo. There are 100's of people at the pools and having a great time. There was a wave pool, a regular pool, hot tubs, and a lazy river. The pool area had a volleyball court, and I had a blast playing volleyball. I haven't stayed at the Park MGM but if I do, I think I will find it depressing because of what it used to be and also because I was a little younger back then and my younger brother was still with me. The old Monte Carlo was like entering a tropical island resort.
I love the Park MGM, it's great that it's non-smoking, and I wish other resorts would adopt a non-smoking rule, or at least designate smoking and non-smoking areas. I love the more laid back atmosphere and the location is great.
apparently they’ve done studies about non-vegas casinos that gambling revenue drops like 30% or something crazy when they implement smoking bans. i wish they would ban smoking too but i understand from a business perspective they have a reason not to
Just ate at side Betty grill when we were there a couple weeks ago. We liked the food there over best friend. Different cuisine but would eat there over best friend next time we’re back in town. Btw we ordered both to go and ate upstairs in our room. Thanks for your videos.
1:00 Parking is free for Pearl on up...........the credit card gives you Pearl but it can also be earned..........Self-parking is complimentary for Pearl, Gold, Platinum and NOIR MGM Rewards Members. Guests must insert their MGM Rewards card at the exit gate to receive the free parking benefit.
Great video Seb and Kristine. I love Park MGM. I'm a smoker, but going outside doesn't bother me. I don't smoke on the tables anyway, just to be polite to the dealer and other players. Here are some other things I thought of: Pros: ABC Store across the street is a lifesaver, as well as a money saver. Primrose is a great breakfast spot. And in the early afternoon, if the bar is still open, you can nibble on their amazing deep fried vegetable plate. Basically tempura. As a MGM Rewards Gold Member, they hook you up with: $250 food/beverage credit, $225 Freeplay, no resort fees, and free parking/valet. Uber/Lyft pick-up and drop off is right off the main lobby. Cons: No 24 hour food restaurant/cafe. You have to take a 5 minute walk to ARIA Patisserie or Denny's across the street. No big deal. No desk in the room and lack of shelf space. That round table gets full quick if you have two people in the room. When a concert is going on the middle of the casino gets nuts before the concert. The entire casino is nuts after the concert. I was there for Lady Gaga Jazz and Bruno Mars/Silk Sonic. I hid just drank in my room after 10pm.
Are there Really Any Conz besides the BS RESORT FEES That All Strip hotels charge?? This is My go 2 Strip Hotel. Very Nice without a Un-Nice Price!!! Aria is just a Quick Underground walk away!
@@NinthIslandConnection yea it really takes away from park mgm. i would think it was a good hotel but cant get over how much better monte carlo so whenever i go there alli think is monte was better. the look of the place and the pool was like a mini mandalay bay with wave pool and lazy river and they took it all out to make the bland park mgm
We were just there Wednesday night for Maroon 5 and it is a nice break. I guess you don't really notice the smoke in the other properties until you're in a non-smoking property. Thanks for watching and the comment, we appreciate you!
I don't remember smelling smoke in our room during any of our stays. Nope, no buffet at Park MGM. Crack Shack is great though and one of our favorites. You can head to America at New York New York for more options and GREAT prices.
Right, they do try to squeeze any penny they can out of people. It's really too bad! Thanks for watching and sharing, we appreciate you! Aloha, Sebastian
Meh. Non smoking option is nice, especially for staff. But, no buffet and nothing else special/unique to set it apart - atmosphere is just generically modern and bland for my taste. Plus, there's the whole MGM nickel & diming feel 🤷🏻♀️
Are you sure that you meant the comment for this video? I'm only asking because the rooms are really nice, modern and spacious. Thanks for watching and sharing!
