Michael, when dealing with a thin band, (specifically 1.6 mm's), is it safe to use moissanite side stones for the micropave, or is it more beneficial or "safe" to choose lab diamonds? I have read different things on the internet and I would like to hear your thoughts. Do the lab ones adhere better in some way? I've heard some just say to go with lab diamonds because it'll be easier to replace somewhere locally as opposed to moissanite, and some jewelers may charge more to replace the small moissanite stones on the band. Secondly, I want to hear your thoughts about the shine factor on the smaller moissanite sidestones vs the lab diamonds for micropave. I have heard someone say that small diamonds at those tiny sizes shine more than the moissanite at that size. This confused me so much because I have seen in video that the fire and brilliance of the moissanite blows diamonds out of the water! This is precisely why I am choosing to go with a moissanite centersone in the first place! Maybe it is something with the size? I don't know. I'd rather hear from you, the expert!
