Tae...Im an old trucker just getting started w AMZN. I can tell you are a ROOKIE for sure! You have NO idea how bad it is at EVERY OTHER NASTY company!!! They lie, steal your money, give you broken trucks, etc. And you can sit at the drop for hours! I had a drop at a large food DC...I was there 15hrs backed in to a door waiting to get unloaded. So many shitty jobs and situations. I can tell you...except for the lower pay, AMZN is super easy!! The only thing better is hualing GAS or Cryogenic gases, (liguid Nitrogen, CO2, etc) You should look into next. You will need to drive manual shit tho. But those gigs start at 100K or more!! Thanks for the info on AMZN.
This is such a good local job for experience because it’s set up like a regional position all driving no touch freight drop n hook but it’s a local job where you’re home daily so you get the best of regional type driving and local type driving can’t get better than that especially fresh out CDL school
I think the safety points program is more based on how strict your DSP is. Cause I drive the for an amazon DSP too currently with the ford CDVs. And I be doing alot more than yawning in the truck infront of the camera. When the camera dings you the footage gets sent to your lead driver and managment. But they have the option to look over the footage and cancel the safety point before it kicks in. I usually check in with dispatch or my lead driver to see if I was dinged and when they see I'm not at fault they'll delete the footage themselves.
So true I work for ltg for Amazon. Love the drop and hook. Three days a week. You sure right I do overtime sometimes. I'm not stuck in a truck. Cameras don't bother me at all.
Keep up the grind bro, the only thing that caught my attention for this video was how well your thumbnail was put together. Keep that in mind when making future videos! ❤
Bro I feel u on that safety bro I work for amazon but drive the vans delivering packages they be super strict about little stuff man sometimes u can't control what's going on on the road but I'm in the works to getting my class a cdl trying move up to drive amazon trucks this video help alot bro that's.
Trust me I drove for a dsp when it first came about. And it was the wild Wild West. Drivers were tearing the vans up and not reporting it and you get to work and your van door don’t shut or missing mirrors. Drivers were destroying property. Etc. I’ve seen it people would come to work high and nobody did anything about it. There was no training. You came to the interview, they drug tested you right there at the interview and you started 2 days of ride along a whenever you was ready.
And also the hassle you to work more days. On your days off you get hassled to work or they call about your driving scores. It’s a bunch of micro management. You can lose your job on a drop of a dime.
Tanker for sure, depending on how many hours you'd be working at Amazon. $23 an hour for 40 hours isn't a lot of money at all. .69 x 2700 is double the money if Amazon keeps you at 40 hours
^what he said. I agree if you ready to get on grind mode and run up a real bag. Go for the tanker. Ofcourse you going be driving much more but the pay going be there
I try looking for Amazon job on Craigslist & indeed but haven’t found nothing prolly none one hiring in my area so I’m just waiting on this driver job for post office now I’m on pre hire list
they keep telling me to schedule an appointment i got to the website says no available dates even emailed them no luck i ended up taking a otr job for the time being
They don’t let you dispute the safety points? That’s crazy, with the step van side of Amazon, our dispatcher or management would dispute it like hard breaking when forced to
Will having to many points on your driving record disqualify you from working for Amazon, or even getting your cdl. If not, what will ? Will previous suspensions ? What are they looking for on driving record.
I do believe having points and bad driving record can affect you getting a cdl Job. This is because the rate to put you on a company’s insurance will be high due to those factors. So it’s all up to the company if they want to take that chance
Preciate the video bruh. How good are my chances of gettimg hired Amazon driver fresh outta cdl school. They asking for experience down here in the south
You just gotta find the right 3rd party/dsp who hires straight outta school. Every company is different. Up here in Baltimore they hired me straight outta school no experience
You're confusing me with the overtime. First, you made a video saying there's lots of overtime. Then you said, they killed all the overtime. Now you're saying they offer lots of overtime. Which one is it?
Fam that video I said they took the overtime away was like 6 months ago. They stopped over time for like a week then it went right back to normal. That’s why I never spoke on it again
I've been applying for the Amazon freight for the last 6 months, and the answer I get is that I don't meet the standards or something like that. I don't know we're else I can go to apply for this position
I do regional right now for amazon and i dont feel like im getting paid for all the places i go. Im out of chicago get about 2200 miles a week but still $23 a hour Im tryna stick it out but idk I just started probably month and a half ago hopefully they can switch me to local because Im definitely not feeling it
man you gotta hang in there!!! Get 2 yrs in and then start looking. but I can tell you after driving for 22 yrs and pulling every kind of trailer....AMZN is sooooo f9ing easy!!! Im telling you.,,,,if you jump to some other compay for a couple of dollars more you will be pissed that you left amzn. Look at hauling gas /fuel. Starting pay is 100K in most places. Need manual transmission and clean record. Thats my plan. Good luck and dont get pulled over!!
Yo Tae I have a interview 10/3/24 with a company called High Level Logistics in Atlanta Ga. They partner with Amazon but its regional what is that schedule like
You said zayro 😂 where you from? And yes I’m a Amazon delivery driver looking to get my cdl they have cameras that alert about everything but yawning is wild😂😂😂.
Use your personal phone for Bluetooth and company phone for the GPS. We do it all the time in final mile. We got yawning, just pinch it a bit and look to the left for the last second like you're looking in the mirror
Anything over 40 hours is overtime. So working 3 days 14 hour shifts is 42 hours. So already we 2 hours into overtime pay. Then if i pick up a 4th or 5th day all that’s overtime
I heard that if you work in the Amazon warehouse for a period of time, they would offer to help you get your cdl. Other than that get it before you apply
I take it you're unemployed because NOBODY outside of UPS is paying that. And don't dare say oilfield, because that's even worse money. I just left there hauling water and frac sand in Wyoming and made crap.
