PROS AND CONS of Huawei Matebook D14 💻? 3 Month Laptop Update 

Other points to consider that I didn't mention in the video- please add to this if there are more! *my point about space being a lot less than 512GB- you can also merge drives and reallocate space, but I was referring to the total amount PROS 1- the camera being on the keyboard confirms that you are not being watched as it can be manually opened and closed 2- there is also a key to force mute yourself on the keyboard, useful just in case at a meeting 3- the charger is USB-C, which means that a lot of phone chargers work with this too (in case) 4- it has a PC Manager function which can check if the hardware is functioning properly (probably in other Huawei laptops as well) CONS 1- the camera angle means that if you are typing, your fingers would block the camera- it is very uncomfortable to type in a meeting or video call 2- there is no DVD or CD drive 3- there is no ethernet port in case there's no wifi

prolly the most honest review for this laptop. been into some tech channels and they just muttered in their videos how "beautiful" this laptop is. however, i always doubted that this is too much to be true. gladly, i found this video. shame on those clout-based channels.

Yup she is right. The camera angle is quite bad. And also if you are on video call and started typing, then your fingers will be all over the camera. Good thing i'm not using the camera often. Overall, this laptop is ok.

Quick tip. Windows actually let's you choose how much space you want to assign for you C and D drive. You can move storage between them.

As you've mentioned it's quite pretty good for some, since I have that laptop as well I would recommend and add some more info that this laptop is quite perfect and adviseable ... and it has no DVD or CD drive as well.

Hi there, I just got my huawei matebook d14 last few days and I hope you can help me identify my prob. Is there any specific earphones or headphones for me to use on this laptop? Like maybe only Huawei products are able for connecting to the socket? Cause I've tried using both of earphone and headphone on it (with diff brand names) but seems like its not working. I was just thinking about buying it for my daily work , i thought it would be kinda perfect for my kind of job (as a dental implantologist/surgeon) , so i am now quiet shocked and disappointed to know that it tends to overheats (despite being told that it has an advanced cooling system similar to the heavy graphics and gaming laptops) and that it wont last that much with the battery not being plugged in. Which takes me to the same tiring question and i do really need ur advice and thank you for advance; what laptop should i buy? Considering (affordability- kinda small dimensions and light in weight-good battery- good cooling system- and avoids lagging and crashing while working with heavy softwares like implant treatment planning and cone beam CT SCANS , also digital smile designs and graphics , my usage is heavier than most people might think)

I tried using my Huawei D14 without a laptop stand since I was still waiting for my order. When it arrived, I saw a huge difference on my laptop’s heating issue. It doesn’t heat that much anymore. About the storage, I used a software to expand my Drive C. From 79 gb to 225 gb. I enjoyed the video ❤️

you can set your battery to best performance but that would drain your battery much faster so i recommend plugging it in while playing/editing👍🏻

If you want to move where it puts data, so that it goes to data (D:) you need to go settings, then storage and then it will give you an option to relocate it

Thanks for posting this review, it’s really helpful for other students! Through UNiDAYS there is an extra £50 off this laptop (only applies to the i5 8gb 512gb ssd version) which makes it £550. Also the matebook 13 is £700 just now but you get a free huawei x speaker worth £300 for free as well as the Bluetooth mouse that comes with the D 14 (they are both very good deals!). I have been looking for a new laptop and the matebook definitely seems like one of the best value laptops ☺️

I just bought mine more than two weeks ago, and the biggest downside is Google Meet is not working --- I can join meetings but they can't see and hear me nor I see them and hear them. I'm using Skype, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and surprisingly only Google Meet is not working. :(

this is a bad laptop not recommended I just bought mine 8 months ago and now its fan noise is so annoying I would not recommend anyone buying it.
