pros and cons of living in Gran Canaria , Spain 

Gran Canaria is an amazing place to grow up as a kid and settle down if you want a lifestyle on an island in the sun. I am a New Zealander and I have lived in Las Palmas since 2007. Back in the days before digital nomads. Your pros and cons Catherine are spot on. However, there is also a lot more to explore here on the islands (you need a car) and if you love historical culture check out the Guanches who were the original people of the islands. Learning Spanish is a must if you want to integrate well. Being a kiwi I have felt a strong bond with the Canarian People.

What would be the main reason for you not to settle here for long term ? is it only because you want to keep travelling ? if it was not for that reason, what else could be ?
