My husband is a Jacksonville native; I've lived in this area since 1954. Growing up in Jacksonville, we got used to driving long distances for this, that, and the other. We each, as teenagers, had friends in other parts of town, and we've both had long commutes to and from work. We're now living 5 miles or so outside of Middleburg, so, again, we drive some distances to get to shopping, dining, entertainment, friends, and family. No biggie. The small-town feel of Middleburg is lovely to have, and it just isn't that much of a problem to drive over to Jacksonville when necessary.
Great video my friend, very informative!! Middleburg overall isn't bad at all! Most people there are friendly. But a lot of people do not like that it is growing and getting more neighborhoods, stores, etc. Most people there would rather it stay that small town feel. The Burg is building up pretty quick now with a LOT of construction but sadly that brings a LOT of traffic too.
5 hours ago we found a house we are wanting to buy in Middleburg and 5 hours ago you made this video. Thanks! We are used to the small town life. Our current town in North Idaho has a population of 1,700, so Middleburg will be like a city for us. Lol.
Kids regularly graduate school here unable to read and write. It is NOT safe in Middleburg. Middleburg has a terrible drug problem The homeless in Middleburg camp in abandoned houses This is someplace to be avoiding if you are looking to move
