I bought my 1st home at 21 for 87k sold for 197k, 2nd home 170k and sold for 320k, 3rd 300k and sold for 589k and buyers paid all closing costs expenses etc... It is possible and very lucrative as long as all steps and details are followed|

I worked my ass off with 2 full time jobs and extras on the weekend. Saved up 25k and handed that over to my financial Adviser to put down and for investing. So I continued working my ass off and in less than three months I was able to lay my hands on my first property.

I've been to Utah three times. I'm literally in love with this state! First, I went there to see the National Parks and because I love the outdoor. Then, I discovered that the laws and rules in Utah are much different compare to other states in the country. Maybe because I'm from Kazakhstan and I'm Russian, they fit my personality much better than anywhere in the country. I've traveled a lot inside the United States, and Utah is definitely the most incredible state!

Utah is growing so fast. I live on one of the few farms left in one of the bigger Utah cities. Some of our neighbors sold their land and now they’re building apartments and homes around us. There are people offering all the time but the earth isn’t building anymore land. So we’re holding on.

When I was working at Alta, I used the Ski buses to get downtown and back up to Alta. Also, when I to ski trips, and stayed at a Hostel in the Avenues, I took the ski bus from Downtown SLC to Little Cottonwood Canyon. Good overview of Utah. Southern Utah has seen much growth in the last couple of years. There are several major developments going on at any one time. My concern is that too many people move into the area and we start to experience high crime rates, big traffic, and even higher home prices.

Yooooo, one of the biggest con I can see that will maybe kill Utah now and in the future is the housing cost, that’s what make people move to a state, so with your high housing cost Utah will not grow and other states will grow faster because they have a lower housing cost, for example, Cali housing cost is driving out people everyday

Been here for 47 years and can’t believe all the condos, apartments being built ( many of them ugly). I think it will be more difficult living somewhere that’s in the country. When we first moved here in Sandy, people thought it was very far away. Draper was a sleepy little town and Provo and Orem weren’t that large either. The traffic is horrible and rents and housing are sky high! On the other hand very good medical facilities. We are seniors so I’m glad of that., but if we were younger we’d probably move as it seems to be growing into another California.

@@rosemariekury9186 they are literally like a virus. It really trips me out how American society has unfolded the past 4 or 5 decades, where quality people are now so far in the minority whilst so many others are complete cowardly Communist weasels. It's pretty maddening. I love the weather here, but sometimes I fantasize about a place like Utah where maybe I could be more isolated, but inside I know that every place has pluses and minuses and I fear that running for cover I will find myself confronted with the same issue.

@@truthseeker6377 Utah is not as bad as California. There are still some small towns left with quality people that you’d like and the healthcare system is awesome. As a transplant, this is not true at all. All native Utahns complain about exactly this, but ive found so many restaurants and stores that locals have never heard of or been to. Hell at my office I've been here 3 weeks and have already gone to a handful of local restaurants (not chains) that people in my office haven't even heard of despite being less than 2 minutes from them. When you grow up in an area you tend to explore A LOT less. Anyone from out of town is going to be looking for certain things like good street tacos to match Texas. I was told i'd never find any. I found some on day 4 here. Local owned Al Pastor taco place, incredibly good with homemade corn tortillas. But again, no one who has lived here has ever heard of it or been there. There is a lot of diversity in northern Utah nowadays, and that brings diverse foods.

If you're more traditional working class or like more of the 'sub-culture' of a city then this is definitely not the place for you. If you like things more spread out, you'll probably like it here.
