Judging by your foot placement, it’s too high up for a board like the D2. Your foot should be behind or on the wide point which is like the back fin so the board will come alive. Cool video
@@foxgd88 I will try to stay farther back. 🙏🏾. I did take my seaside out today and it definitely handled these type of waves much much better. The Seaside is always a good choice.
@@surfininmy40syes seasides wide point is more forward and it’s fishy , so it does suit standing further up the board and more forgiving if you mess up
riding stock shortboards greatly oversized is going to vastly hinder any alleged performance a design like that is meant to give you, mine as well stay on a mid length or mini simmons type boards. you know how to catch waves which is good, you have a solid pop up. but watching you ride these oversized boards gives me heart burn.
I’m just getting older is all. Almost 50 so just want to have a board to help me paddle better. I do have a 5’9 seaside and a 5’8 mini Simmons performance board as well. But I agree. The 6’2 probably won’t give me the best performance
