Hardwood flooring can be prone to scratches, dents, and water damage. To prevent water damage which typically happens around the sink and dishwasher, make sure you put rugs down in these spots. Hardwood will also add a little extra time to your project because it needs multiple coats and drying time, versus tile that is ready-to-go as soon as it's put down.
