Kirra is the best,had the privilege of surfin it for 6 months back in 1980 Awesome break !!!

That’s the best surf video I’ve seen in 25 yrs. Not sanitised; or from a drone. But on the beach with real people talking in the background. And equal parts great waves and normal surfers getting drilled.

Growing up reading Surfer in the US Kirra was always portrayed as this perfect, makeable wave. Here we see how seriously gnarly it is. Great video. Not sure I'd paddle out there.

My mom put me in the surf as a baby, I instantly pulled away and was in my element as an infant, my mom said people were stopping to watch this infant laughing while getting pummeled with foam and sand, my 25 min of Fame and I don't remember, dam.

Amazing late takeoffs and just pulling into running barrels 4:12 to 4:29 turn around crumbling whitewater takeoff into a sick freight train pit that comes from knowing a place he saw no need to let it go to waste

Cyclone Nancy 8foot tall 8foot thick got so smashed rip was crazy but at the time was my first taste of such power look it up .my mates mum woke us up with the surf report on the Wallace rabbit getting a13 second barrel . I pulled in no technique shouldn't even been out there I GOT 1 BARREL FELL OFF GOT SMASHED INTO THE BOTTOM THEN FINALLY POPPED UP AND WAS CAUGHT ON THE INSIDE PLUS THAT" CHOCO RIP " WOWVJUST A GROM RESPECT TO ALL THE LOCAL RIPPERS THEN AND NOW .1989/90 TRACKS WAS ALL OVER IT CARRIED THAT ISSUE AROUND FOR YEARS

Wind direction was just not quite on, pretty lumpy really, not the best conditions i've seen at Kirra with a large swell like this one.

Add time stamps for riders and waves - makes for a better edit /view experience. And include the boogs waves too :)

Looks kinda fickle, lots of sections, hit or miss and huge arena of takeoffs.......believe it's their summer now
