He was wearing a civilian jacket over his uniform, but when the killer also took his badge and his gun he knew he had killed a cop, and for punks like him that was reason enough, but with the way the officer was shot before he could even get out of his car proved that the killer would have killed a civilian just as easily, he wanted the car and that was that, but he hadnt reckoned on the neighbors camera footage, and he made his second mistake when he gave his cousin the officers gun which was recovered when an officer saw him throw it over a neighbors fence don't know though if they also recovered the officers star.
