It's up to you as a driver to get better at identifying possible accident scenarios, putting yourself in the best position to avoid them. Forgive them their sins, instead of holding people to REAL consequences of life. In one second she killed an entire family in a gruesome manner plus the other 2 woman that were killed and 7 injured. Not to mention all of their loved ones or the witnesses that will forever be traumatized after this. She had no reason to be driving on a local street at that rate of speed. @MaggieMy Lots of Nurses have Mental health issues. As long as it doesn't interfere with their ability to do their job they are allowed to work. There are charge nurses and doctors overseeing the staff. If at any point Doctors orders aren't properly carried out or the nurse isn't performing proficiently then at that point they can step in and relieve the nurse of her duties. Then a report is filed and if there was any type of gross negligence then the nurse can get reported to the board of registered nursing and the nursing license can get suspended or revoked. But yea as long as there aren't any pending felonies or criminal charges against the nurse and the nurse is able to show proficiency during orientation they do issue a license and they do let you work.

Nah, you don't get to use the "I'm crazy" card. Go straight to jail. And then to hell.

As an ICU nurse myself I would question her competence to care with critically ill patients and her apparent inability to control her actions. I'm curious to know what her colleagues and supervisor's think of her behaviors at work. I worked with a nurse who became very erratic, moody, argumentative and when it became apparent she needed help, she refused it. In the end she administered a controlled substance 3 times without a doctor's order and was fired and had her license suspended for 18 months. Luckily the patient suffered no harm.

"Mental health issues" is such BS. Everyone uses that line nowadays to get out of difficult situations

And on the other side of this is for people who do have mental health issues our system to deal with it is underfunded and mostly geared around throwing pills at people; not to help them but to keep pharmaceutical companies profitable. If what she did was on purpose it wouldn't surprise me if she did have mental health issues... and when these things go untreated we see shit like this or mass shootings. It isn't an excuse for anything but this is a separate problem that desperately needs an overhaul... instead of sending billions of our tax dollars overseas things like this should be a priority.

I think it’s more about behavioral issues. She’s never been held responsible for her behavior before.

It sounds like she’s intentionally been causing accidents for years. I feel like maybe she does it to seek attention or get a thrill? I truly cannot fathom that it’s simply being a bad driver. Because anyone sane that caused multiple at-fault accidents would hang up the keys WELL before reaching 13 accidents.

Someone with this many issues was allowed to be a nurse and drive in a society with everyone else....this was a disservice both to her and the public. If she was stopped earlier maybe she wouldn't have destroyed her life and that of so many.

She was “Emotional” and not for the dead, but for the trouble she finally finds herself in. 13 accidents and she kept plugging along. No regard for anyone but “Poor Me”. Watch how they spin this into HER being the Victim here.
