This video got me excited about an upcoming home project. My garage is a mix of stucco / concrete wall and drywall / studded. I'm going to start with the one wall that is entirely stucco/concrete. Do you have any concerns about me going through the stucco using your approach?
Would basement solid concrete walls be done any differently? I want to put Tactical slat walls in my man cave.... its unfinished basement concrete walks that I painted....
great video. in my case, I have a house that's a side split, so my garage is half foundation wall and top half is studs and dry wall. There is a about half and inch difference between the top (dry wall) and the bottom (concrete). what would you suggest? I thought about installing 1x4 wood studs into the concrete, but then now those studs at the bottom are not level with the dry wall, and there would be a small gap.
Thanks Ball905. If the 1x4 is too thick you could use 3/8" or 1/2" plywood cut into rips the same width as a stud depending on the difference in the depth of the two walls. Shoot us an email with a picture at info@onehoursmarthome.com and we could take a look at your specific situation. The system holds a lot off weight and really has helped with organization in a tight space on the wall. Thanks from www.onehoursmarthome.com
