These Lower Link Skids from RCI protect your link ends at the frame. The skids lay over the end giving an angle for rocks or other objects to slide over, so it doesn't damage your link ends.
They are built out of 3/16" steel, and in addition to 4Runners they also fit FJ Crusiers.
The modifications on your Rocksliders was due to two different manufacturers. If you're considering these lower link skids, then you should consider RCI rocksliders as well.
