The Sentinel is made with industry standard 1/8” thick steel plate and powder coated to make it long lasting. It is engineered to have the PTO bracket give it extra strength with right angles.
Reasons to get a Sentinel
People that have a Mid Mount mower sometimes do not get the drive shaft locked in completely.
When it comes loose it takes out the hydraulic filter or worse. The Sentinel actually gives more room to connect up the MMM drive shaft.
A stick can go up and take out the hydraulic plastic fan.
Tall grass and going around the drive shaft and taking out the O-ring or O-ring is not expensive, but labor can be very expensive. Tractor down time is bad; these issues are usually not covered by warranty.
