I just got a pint with rail guards. They now ship flat like the sidekicks, but with a level center join, and they still have the wrap around on the bottom. So it looks like they've learned in the past year!

Just a tip and an update from someone who just ordered a pint... the guards do come in colors now, but I got clear. I've used clear guards like that before on other things like my bmx bike, and if you get that ugly lift or bubbles, you can warm it up with a blow dryer and push it down with a makeshift brayer. Get a smooth water bottle like a smartwater bottle, and make sure it's full. You only want a small bit of flex or give. Warm up the "sticker" and roll the bottle along it as hard as you can. Work your way up in heat, because you want to soften the adhesive just enough to stick down well, but not so much that the piece slides or causes more bubbles or anything like that. Hope this helps anyone reading this. I can't wait for my Pint to come! Edit: If you have access to a 3D printer, you might be able to remove the screws near the carry handle on the float plate, print a more comfortable handle that sticks out a bit more and slide it between the plate and the Pint, and then stick it back down.. does that make sense? Kinda like a small C shaped grip with one end a bit longer and flat to tuck under the Float Plate to hold it in place. Kinda like C_ that. It would be more like grabbing onto a piece of thin PVC pipe, rather than a flat ledge. That's probably challenging unless you climb and are used to credit card holds... lmao If you're interested in the idea but don't understand, lemme know and I'll draw something up real fast and send a crappy doodle your way. I'm sure it would be a super easy model, fast print, and 2min install. Definitely worth doing, and if I get the float plate, I'll probably make one for myself... my fingers aren't that strong and I much prefer vert carry. So I already installed the FM rail guards that do wrap under. I have been wanting to purchase the one piece float plate from FL. I am getting mixed reviews on whether or not this would work. Many say it will lay over and the amount that it is not flush isnt really noticed. Did you try it at all to see if its workable? Much thanks!

My best friend and his wife just flew to LA with their pints. They traveled using TSA Pre ✅ and they carried the pint in duffel bags. I don’t know which part of that was clutch, but together was the sweet sauce.

I’d love the sidekicks to go with my solo plate. I’m interested in how your solo plate holds up, the adhesive on mine didn’t last long and now it bows in the middle. I’m planning on just getting some temporary adhesive from the store and see how well that works.

I chose Float sidekicks because i didnt want to pay $15.00 shipping.

Cool vid. I've tried both so far and tend to kind of like the FM ones... my daughter did a weird move in the grass and didn't get off right. Sent the board flying forward, and it completely ripped off the side-kick. Not sure if it was a freak accident, but pretty sure you couldn't do that with the softer FM ones. I'll take a FM rail guard if I win!
