For those who haven't used Ludkins or never heard of Charlie, they are amazing. I currently have nearly 100 cards out now in small waves, and plan to send about another 150 in the next month. They communicate, offer great prices, pre--grade, and make sure your cards are protected. They even provide card savers when PSA requires them. Much easier and safer than sending directly to PSA if you don't have a membership. I would love if they worked with BGS as well for those amazing pristine cards, but to offer both CGC and PSA services shows that they care about the player when it comes to grading cards.
Thanks for your input. I have sent directly to psa still waiting 3 months currently right now, thought I try a different service currently 2 months now. Came upon this now I'm curious. Alot of pros and cons with all of them so far. This one for sure the price is about the same as psa. I will give them a try so I can choose how I wanna do my grading.
The thing preventing me from using Ludkins is you can’t send high value cards to them from what I read. So then you’re back to square one trying to sign up for a PSA membership and waiting for the long turnaround anyways.
@@stoutmessi they offer different services. They still have a $10 service last i checked, but there are no guaranteed turnaround times using that service.
If we're going to be honest, the audio is important, and it wasn't spot on here either. When one person's voice is so much louder than the other person's voice, it's hard to listen to this quietly...

I take a lot of issue saying "It doesn't matter if there is 10,000 psa 10 zards", I would say yea, supply does matter. I get he is saying the wanting of the card doesn't change but the equally important price does and we are talking about investments here.
small tip for people who do skype interview get the person your interviewing to also record them selves with a different software if you can (like obs) and just send you the footage after so you can both look very crisp /no lag when put on youtube but maybe you already figured this out by now. Great content on your channel btw.
i wouldn't say grading always pays for itself. for example, i have cards that have no demand in the graded world (base set japanese commons like arcanine) that no one wants to purchase graded based on ebay sales data. it'd probably be a negative to grade them since they wouldnt sell.
Definitely want to hear more about grading the modern Charizard EX, GX and V cards. I know it wasn’t traditional in the past to get EX/GX cards graded. Is sending two Hidden Fates shiny Charizards worth it? What about Charizard SM60. Or the Charizard Braixen tag teams?
I can’t wait to send in some cards for grading! I started the form on PSA yesterday, but it looks like the lowest service available right now is regular which is $50 per card!
probably a dumb question but where it says not for items over $249. is that price for the card after its graded or before it graded? because a psa 9 might only be worth 200 but the 10 could be worth 800. sorry if its a dumb question but thanks for your time
I've always wondered why there is a final charge to get your cards back from PSA if over a certain declared value? We're already paying for the service for the cards to be graded then get hit with this unfair fee if it receives a 10 in a lot of cases I mean if you get antiques appraised by a professional you'll pay him/ her for that service. If what you get valued is expensive, he'd have no right to demand 10% on top of what you paid him Robbery imo. And if it is for insurance reasons, it should be completely optional for the customer
I just happened to get a membership and I will send for the first time ever, I will send my pokemon cards to be graded, I am so ready to see my cards on slabs for the first time and to know for sure the quality of my cards is going to be great, I am sending some cards that I am planning to sell too, I like the idea that the company is in the same state that I am, maybe one day I will stop by, anyways, great video!
I got a blue eyes white dragon 1st edition LOB, no scratches or nicks, however it has a small light stain on the back. Should i clean it? or just send it in and get a 8-9 psa? I have so many cards that need cleaned, but i do not want to scratch them, so im kinda afraid to try and clean a mint 20 year old collectible
I just have a question regarding collecting and being a business. Do you own a private collection and if so how do you balance that with your job. I would like to keep my collection and keep adding onto it; but I would also like to make it into a business. Any insight would help thank you so much love your content.
That’s the same with video games. I have a couple friends that own shops and they basically say that you need to say goodbye to a personal collection, because it’s capital that could allow you to use in your business
We will cover this in a video down the road but psa wait times for pack grading is over a year and you’re right with how they fold the packs. Soon CCG will have their design finished for packs and I highly recommend holding off until theirs is ready.
What are your thoughts on the PSA wait times right now? We have about 30 cards we want to grade and possibly sell. Is it worth waiting months and months for PSA, or would it be better to use a different grading service like Beckett or SCG?
It depends on what you are looking to do with them. If you are holding them long term, psa is the way to go. If you’re looking for quick flips, I would still do psa, but pay for express grading to get them back faster. If they are lower valued flips, I’d use cgc.

If my card is PSA 10 but the case is a bit scratched up. Is it possible to send it in so that they can replace the case without trying to re-grade? The card is in great shape but I don't want to take the chance and somehow end up with PSA 9
I need any advice possible yesterday I just pulled a shiny charizard v from a champions path etb (my first Pokémon box ever) Ik it is about $500-550 raw. Everything on card looks great but the centering left to right is just slightly off. Could it get a 10 if everything else Is perfect? Could it still get a 9 and be worth it to grade through psa?
I would say if centering is off than it'll be a 9. I would take the $550 raw price over waiting for months to get stuff back from PSA... if it was perfect and was going to get a 10 then I would definitely send to PSA, but at a 9 it might be $600 or so which wouldn't be worth it to me...
I have so many more questions😂should we grade all rare cards from modern sets for future? Reverse holos? It’s a confusing market, and what about poorer condition cards 😫there’s so much to learn. Grading is expensive, if it's a modern card I wouldn't bother grading unless I felt it could get a PSA 10. If it's super popular (charizard, etc) you may want to grade it no matter what. For some random rare holo that you can pick up on TCGPlayer for $0.35, I wouldn't even bother honestly... Personally I just sleeve and/or put my cards in a top loader to protect the ones I may want to sell and if they happen to really increase in value and they have a chance to get a psa 10 then I start looking at ebay psa 10 sales to see if it makes sense to send them in.
@@AndyseousOdyssey They pay alot extra for the 'Express' service, looking at £100 per card and 3-6 week turnaround. The big youtubers will happily pay the extra cost for a quicker turnaround. It's worth on expensive cards not so much on cheaper cards.
