If you are looking to buy shampoos/cleansers make sure it doesn’t say strengthens/restructure/rebuilds/bonds and the likes because it probably has a protein in it or something that mimics a protein.
Yes finally a video that talks about hair masques, deep conditioners etc. That are PROTEIN FREE for us low po girls/protein sensitive girls. I've started to use protein in my masques because I don't want protein overload. I tend to have protein in my masques and no protein in my deep conditioners, then I get that balance 😝😏😋
Your twists look really cute! Thanks to you I started doing twistouts & using Miche leave in & twisting butter which give me *excellent moisture & definition* . *Love* the scent. Also thanks to you, I finally woke up & tried Soultanicals dcs. The Fenugreek dc is my *absolute* holy grail dc. It gives my hair *supreme* moisture. The Chebe dc is #2. Finally found what my hair *loves* . Great video!
Hey love! So glad that you are love Miche and soultanicals as much as I do. I love the Fenugreek DC but that one def has protein so I didn’t mention it. Thanks for watching ❤️
That Mielle pomegranate honey leave in conditioner is my BAAAAAEEEEE & I just recently used that Camille rose almond Jai twisting butter I loved my results
I'm so glad you found products that work for your hair! I was thinking about getting the Mielle Pomegranate Honey Leave in but I want to make sure I buy something that is really going to work for my hair. But, I heard a lot of good reviews about it! What hair type and porosity do you have? (If you know) :)
Honestly the Miche is my favorite moisturizing one. I was playing at one time and was like nah it’s no different from a regular conditioner but I have found that it works really well on damp hair (that way it doesn’t compete with or is watered down by the extra water on wet or soaking wet hair) and when I section and smooth it in. I definitely don’t need to add a lot either I have found it doesn’t make a difference. Also I found I need to leave it on my hair longer than I though. I leave it on for 60 minutes under a plastic cap. I’m sure I could leave it on for less time if I used heat but my heat cap caught on fire😅 so...... using my natural head heat .
Oh no! I actually almost caught me cap on fire too lol. But yeah I didn’t realize how amazing it was until I used along side another conditioner I love and realized how amazing my hair felt in comparison! Thanks for watching 💕
Thank you, thank you finally because I'm 4 C and protein does makes a difference for me, but only a monthly treatment my hair gets so over dry from products that are loaded with protein. You are a blessing in the home work.
Now I’m convinced products reacts differently for everyone. That mane 3n1 leaven in turns into foam when i put it in my hair then my hair becomes straw like .I thought it had protein in it. Hate it
The mane choice 3 in 1 contains SODIUM PCA. Sodium PCA is a derivative of naturally occurring amino acid proline; it is used as a conditioning agent. Hope this helps.
my hair doesn't have any aversion to anything thankfully 🙌🏾 but i think it's wonderful you look out for naturals that do. i was just thinking 🤔 i'd love to see you do flat twists. i don't think i've seen that style on you before. tfs 😊
Hey Melinda, my hair is pretty much the same way but def want to help others out. I did a flat twist a loooong time ago lol but def have not done one in a while. Def will need to do one soon. Thanks for watching 💕
Nice detailed video Nisha! Will keep a list of these protein free products. Glad to see I already have some of them in my stash. 🥰 Will be checking my stash to see which category my products should be listed.😉
You should try the moisture pro triple butter heavy cream by she scent it! it’s really good and its protein, coconut oil, glycerin, and aloe vera free! Definitely recommend for the winter months, only thing is that it’s on the heavier side so those with fine hair need to be careful they don’t over do it. Also the vegan grogurt by organi gro hair co is the same and i love using it as my winter leave in
I just found your channel and am loving your content! I've never even heard anyone MENTION aloe free hair products, as good as everyone says it is for your hair, my hair seems to not like it so much (that and coconut oil- so I'll be checking those videos out next). Also, I just KNEW you were from GA when I heard your accent lol. Heeeey! 🙋🏽♀️
Lol hey Khristian! Yep I’m a Georgia 🍑 born and raised. I’ve had many people tell me they don’t like those ingredients so that’s why I thought it would be good to make this series. My hair loves most things except high level of glycerin. But I know that’s not everyone’s case! Thanks so much for watching 💕
Miche is my favorite product line of all time. I also love the CRN coconut H2O and MC Heavenly Halo lines. Bask and Bloom is on my to buy list. I've been eyeballing it for a few years. So many products and one head☹️.
Hey love, cannot think of one that doesn't have one off the top of my head. Maybe try hemet biologics. I feel like they don't use coconut oil. Could be wrong though lol.
The sea kelp in Bask and Bloom More Moisture Cream is a low form of protein. Also, thank you for this video. Even though I've watched numerous videos of yours, I had it on my to-do list to go back and review again your past product reviews screening out which ones were protein-fee. This saved me time.
Hey Nisha, Great products review! I like the Bask&Bloom Ease Leave-In and More Moisture too, both are very moisturizing. I also have the Mango cream but haven't used it yet. I like Miche Indulge and Lavish too. Curls Dynasty are also products in my collection I haven't tried but look forward to using them. I bought the sample/travel package of Kinky Tresses, haven't used yet but I hear great things about them. The Restorative Conditioner has wheat protein but the Hair Milk & Hair Butter are natural and protein free. Naturally LJ raves about them. Some of my favorites Curls Blueberry Bliss Reparative Mask and Twist & Shout Cream do not have protein. 😉
Hey May! I so forgot about my curls blueberry bliss twist n shout cream. Thanks for sharing! Also kinky tresses is on my list so def keep me updated once you try them out! Thanks for watching 😊
I just opened the Soultanicals Hibiscus Hair Healer DC and that DC..... let's just say I need a liter of that bad boy!. It has so much slip and it's just feels good on the hair! I also love Unicurl 4 n 1 styler( thanks for putting me on), CR Almond Jai twisting butter, and CR coconut style setter.
I love the Miche Beauty Indulge Deep Conditioner. I just received the SheScentIt one, can’t wait to try it. I ordered the Tropical Marango one, heard great things about it. I’ve used the UniqueCurl one as well. The Mane Choice 3 In One Soft as can be, an absolute favorite.
Great video. I really like the shescent it plum nectar yoghurt. I was also surpised when I saw that it had pretty good defintion when I used it alone for a twistout. It's even better as a leave in under gel for a wash n go. My wash n go came out gorgeous. Another one is the argan oil buttercream. It's amazing and glycerin free Those 2 are now my favorite leaveins/moisturizers. They feel amazing on my hair and have the most amazing slip I've ever encountered. They make parting my hair so much easier it just separates easily with very minimum snagging
Hey Daisy. Yes girl I was shocked by the definition from the shescentit leavein styler. I’ll def have to use it for a wash n go. Thanks for the recommendation! 😊💕
I'm so glad you made this video. I need new conditioners, leave ins and styling creams. Do you think these would work on High porosity hair? I don't have thick and coarse hair...I have fine, gray strands and high porosity and probably old enough to be your mom, but I'm loving your channel! LOL.
Hey Pamela! So glad that this video was helpful. I really can’t speak for high porosity hair because I’m low porosity but I think these products are worth trying. These products can def for fine hair as long as you use small amounts.
I am going through protein overload for the first time. I was running after my little ones and end up keeping my protein deep conditioner on to long. This was a great help. Thank you great video.
Nice video. I just discovered your channel while looking for protein free D.Conditionners. I’m really interested by those twisting with hold. I’m going to have a look on your hopefully I can find a review. 😉
how did i previously LIKE this video and not comment??? i must be slipping - like some of these products 😂🤣 ...adding a few to my buy (later) & try list.
I have those Mane Choice deep conditioners. That Tropical Moringa is bae. I didn’t find that other one did anything. I have the Mielle leave-in and just figured out how to use it and now it’s wonderful. You know, you like a lot of things that high and normal porosity girls like 🤔. Lol
hii, I looked up every hair product you showed and I looked at the ingredient list of the product. With some of them, I saw it had coconut oil, sea butter, aloe vera, or some other protein in it. I guess you haven't seen that, but your products are not 100% protein free. Or am I wrong and are they not proteins ?? :) BTW: I don't wanna hate or anything. I just wanna make sure that people buy 100% protein-free products.
Hey love I appreciate you looking out but coconut oil and Shea butter don’t have any protein. Aloe Vera does have a small amount but not anything significant to affect someone as protein sensitive. I know that Biotin is a vitamin that can product protein but just because it is present in a products doesn’t mean it is producing protein. I hope that helps. Let me know if I missed some ingredients you had questions on.
@@clndk397 I think that both are right, coconut oil does not have protein but it acts as if it did, that is, it affects your hair like protein. The same as aloe vera, rice, wheat .....
Hi.... Do you have a video on first time going Natural??? I’m new to this Natural thing I haven’t had a perm in about 9 months and I DONT want to go back to perms but I don’t really know what to do with my hair as far as going Natural.... I couldn’t get with the Camille Rose Natural products I bought some of her products and I’m going to take them back to the store.....
Hey Racquel. I actually do not but there is another RU-vidr that has really good tips. I’m linking her video for you. Hope it helps ❤️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ja1EXhx4Y8Q.html
My hair is super fine like baby's hair and it does not have a medulla, like most people do have, which makes my hair even finer. In spite of this my hair needs a little protein....just a little. It gives my hair structure . I have a hard time believing that there is hair that does not need a tad, balanced with moisture. That's my opinion.
Oh no! I this video is at least helpful with finding products. I would def do intense deep conditioning treatments with deep conditioners that have no protein and are super moisturizing. Thanks for watching 💕
hii i like your video. my hair is low porosity , my hair don't like shea butter.aloe vera, glycerin, coconut oil. it is very difficult to find products without them.
Hey love!!! Yes it is hard to find products without those ingredients. My hair loves all of though but it is a little picky with glycerin though. Will be doing a Shea butter free video soon.
ithank you for your great videos. i am so confused with all these products on line that are protein free, yet have shea butter among the ingredients i thought shea butter had protein. could you please enlighten me if am mistaken????
Hey love. To my knowledge raw Shea butter does not have any protein in it. It can be added to it but naturally it doesn’t contain protein. I hope that helps.
I found you by accident! You’re adorable! You remind me of my niece ♥️ Thanks for all the good product recommendations! Particularly the problem free deep hypertension..my beautiful Afro has been so dry!
Mane products Do they have strong smell because there are certain products give me an headache. Companies will make products for certain things but I had never seen unscented hair products.
Hey love! Are you talking about the Mane Choice products? Some of the collections do have a strong scent. The tropical moringa has the strongest scent of them all. It probably will give you a headache unfortunately.
NJ Eberhart oh okay, thank you for responding😊 but tbh if one is suffering from protein overload isn’t it best to stay away from any ingredient that will strengthen the hair? Esp if one has fine hair
