Thank you so much for splicing up this VERY practical and educational interview, based on specific subjects (like sprint training and protein intake). This has helped me focus on exactly the points I need. SUPERRRRRR helpful & valuable content for women who train hard and refuse to give up ‘fabulous’ as they get better with time.
This was very interesting; however, why do the influences these days say we need soooo much more protein than we used to eat and thrive on. For instance, back in the Cindy Crawford days (as mentioned @ 3:15 time stamp)? It used to work, right? Just asking!🤔
What about vegans? I am primarily a whole food plant-based vegan and I very rarely eat anything like dairy and I don't like eggs. Is eating beans and tofu and things like that the same level of protein that you're talking about? You're talking about the same guidelines like a piece of meat, the size of your hand and then some vegetables on the side, but I don't eat like that I eat a lot of beans and whole grains and fruits and I rarely eat any processed food anyway Please try to give guidelines for vegans when you are giving advice 🙏
The actual long term research on protein is kilograms per pound of ideal body not pounds per ideal body weight ! Ppl get this so screwed up ! Example I’m 5’2” weight 120 pounds …. Divide 120 by 2.2 and that equals 54 ….. that’s minimum protein grams I need daily ! But the upper limit is 54 times 2 so that’s 108 grams I can eat daily but that’s if I’m doing heavy body building ! Stop telling people it’s 1 gram per pound of body weight ! It 1 to 2 grams PER KILOGRAM OF BODY WEIGHT 😣 ppl keep getting it wrong and women are eating too much protein and if it’s not used it’s store and raises blood sugar and A-1C !!!!!!!!
Thanks for your comment - My grandmother smoked a pack of cigarettes every day until she passed away at 90 of natural causes… It seems like a stretch to say stop smoking is “bullshit” advice. Individual experience and circumstances will always vary, but just because you have an experience one way doesn’t mean the actual scientific data supports it. But we are always open minded… I’m curious to see the data and research to support that Dr. Stacy Sims is giving BS guidance. If you’ve got it, send it our way
