Keep up the good work, Danica. Always a hero to me ❤ I've never tried to lose weight, and spend a lot of time doing things that keep me very active and fit, namely working my land, boxing, etc... It was abundantly clear, what was going on. After 2 months of quitting my job I lost 25 lbs. It was the food. While commuting to work, I'd pick up a breakfast, then have a lunch at some restaurant, and when that ended the weight melted off almost immediately. Stay active friends, and watch what you shovel into that pie hole. Restaurants do not give two cents for your health, only that you have a satisfying experience. I thought I was eating at healthy establishments, but alas, 2 months of home cooked food, in which I control every ingredient, and 25 lbs later, I realize I was carrying 25 lbs of unnecessary goo 🙃
I did Insanity in my 40s and it made me fat! No recovery and so much inflammation. Earlier this year I did a month of OMAD. Major weight gain! Ugh! So I’m 51 and 128 pounds when I’m normally 110. I’m going to follow Dr. Sims’ recommendations and hope to get beck to normal. SO HAPPY to hear the evils of birth control discussed here. What an abuse of women that has been. All in the name of “empowerment.”
Incredibly misleading title that doesn’t do justice to what actually Dr. Sims was trying to convey. This is the type of clickbait sensationalism that makes people stop trusting these accounts.
Recovery is influenced by many variables consequently it fluctuates. It's much better to get away from the the weekly schedule idea and just listen to your body and mind. Go hard then take the days your need to recover before going hard again. Remember you need to be physically and mentally ready. Sometimes it could be 2 days. Other time 4.
It's very difficult to get 30 grams of protein at every meal. I get full before I can eat that much. Starting to use supplements now. Amazing how different my body is after menopause.
It's not necessary to take in 1 or more grams of protein/lb of body weight to build and/or maintain lean body mass.....she's wrong on that. Plenty of data suggest less is fine. Around 0.6 to 0.8 (maybe less) grams/lb of body weight is fine.
@@Jol-v1p Possibly, but there are tons of experts saying 1 g per pound. For anyone over 50, I’d especially say to keep it on the higher side from what I’ve heard.
Acknowledging and respecting her knowledge, I think this person tends to complicate things and seems to be talking about professional athletes. Most of us just want to be fit and healthy in our regular lives. She should be able to extract simpler tips from her deep understanding of how the body workes. Her method requires a level of mental commitment with the matter of eating and exercizing that the average 40-50 yo women (who she talks about most) can’t simply handle. I want a healthy peri and post menopause but I don’t want to obsess over a complex gym routine or how, when, what, how much to eat all the time. My time for making it to the Olympics or become a model is gone…
Here's the deal: If you wanna lose weight, watch what you put in your mouth, AND WHEN. Working out is great, but in no way should be the foundation of weight loss.
@@denisemc607 package blocks of TOFU in grocery stores.... Firm and Medium for sure which I have used, don't think I ever used Soft but probably that one too.... Just cut slices off the small blocks
Great episode can’t get enough of Stacy Sims❤ BTW - did you mean 1.2/1.2 per kg not pound (@5:32ish) can you post all the numbers in a chart and the study 🙏
Yes the body still needs exercise if your looking for that "young look", and not even the best facial creams in the world can do that for ANYONE, but I hear some are really nice. From a man stand point, yes it can be tough to keep a balance, Ladies you know what I mean.

Oh no! How dare she be inclusive of diverse people and their biological needs?! It’ll only make her more trustworthy 😰 What next ?! I too long for the reality where only 1 % of the human population are considered human. How DARE anyone else exist outside the narrow definition of humanity 😡
