Ma'am, why in case of multipass, the N terminal enters first and in case of double pass, the N-terminal remains at cytoplasmic end, I mean is there any special mechanism following for their such orientation?

May be at C-terminal, maximum positive amino acid are present as compared to N-terminal (vice-versa in double pass)

@Shampa ji, it depends on where the signal sequence lies (near the N-terminal or in intermediate region of protein). There is NO such rule as in multipass membrane proteins the N-terminal always enter first.
