Protest is my favorite band ever. They are still actively working on a new album and I just can't wait... There is no other band that sounds like protest.
I'm not surprised it's not on Spotify but they actually have an ep from before Kezia, it's called "A Calculated Use Of Sound" and is definitely worth looking up on RU-vid. Very rough, hardcore punk, which you can still pick up in their current music.
These guys opened for the best show I've ever been. Metallica in Halifax 2011. They were amazing. Got everyone fired up. If I ever get to pick a video for tasty info below. I would pick Bloodmeat. Great intro tune to my fav album.

I discovered PTH back in 2008; I saw them live at the Warped Tour. They hit me with Bloodmeat, and I thought, “Who are these guys and why am I just now hearing them?!”. Been a fan ever since. Anyway- There is something very authentic in your reaction-like you are genuinely enjoying the music you’re listening to. With that sort of revelatory reflection, I must suggest From The Sky. ...so a while back I saw you did a reaction to Amaranthe. Recently I read that Heinrick (the harsh vocalist) has left the band. You also liked the female vocalist as much as I do...;) So I was going to see if maybe you would do the video for the song GG6. As homage to the harsh vocalist leaving and a treat for us fans of the great female vocalist. Anyway I'll leave this here and walk away...haha.
Rody walker reminds me of Todd La Torre from Queens Ryche. if you guys havent checked out the album "Operation MindCrime", you should. That album as a whole is top 3 for me.
Protest is an acquired taste...but I love these guys...seen them a couple times and were just as great...its funny but his vocals sometimes remind me of Erik AK of Flotsam and Jetsam at times...just my opinion though...when I saw them..they were touring across Canada with Between the Buried and Me, In Flames and Killswitch Engage...was a great concert
I haven’t been able to really get into this style since the mid 2000s… other than marveling at the musicianship and a few groovy parts here and there, they are a bit too much for these old ears
This is one of my favorite from them. It shows Rody's vocal range very well. "These days I don't know the people I'm supposed to trust, and I don't trust these people that I'm supposed to know" is one of the best delivered lines in their catalog. IMO, haha
What say me? Not good, not great, it’s not my cup of tea 🫖. It was too complicated. That was a mess. And I heard the ‘F’ word in the vocals, this is outrageous 😮. I only like Japanese industrial black metal ⛩. Don’t want it, don’t need it, never going to listen to that again 🙉.
