This is everything music was meant to be about. This band really did something special with this.

The first show I ever watched as a kid was Protest the Hero when they came to Newfoundland during Valentine's day weekend. Ditched my girlfriend and drove 4.5 hours to see them play. First time I ever crowd surfed. It was an unreal experience. They were my favourite band at the time. Fast forward a few years later, my own band opened for them when they came back. One of the highlights of my life, sharing the same stage with these legends. I'll never forget it.

As someone born & raised in Newfoundland, this is such an accurate representation of our little island & the people that live here.

Not to take away from Newfoundland at all, but I feel that this type of attitude is shared by all the Maritime islands in Canada. They're so welcoming, laid back, and would literally take the shirt off their back for someone they just met. I'm so proud to say I'm Canadian, Nova Scotian, and a Protest the Hero fan. I’m a Newfoundlander and I’m am planning on staying in Newfoundland for my whole life and I read the comments and I seen people that’s in America and they know what Newfoundland is and I was happy to see that people know about the good old rock.

Proud American, Proud New Yorker, avid hockey fan go Rangers, ravenous fan of Canada, and still the only person I know of who knows O'Canada and proudly sings both Canadian and American anthems at applicable sporting events, and this song fills me with happiness!!!

This is one of the best music videos I've ever seen. The heart and spirit these guys have inspires the shit out of me. The whole thing is inspiring.

Watching this in 2024 after they returned to St. John's after about 10 years. Best show I've ever been to, best night I've had in a long time. I'm 30 years old, and started seeing and listening to you guys when I was maybe 14/15. This band was such a huge part of my growing up, and still has such a large part of my heart. I may sound ridiculous but I'm just a passionate person, but I cry tears of joy watching this music video and hearing the song. Seeing them back in August was an honor, and an honor to have the boys back in our province. You're so loved and appreciated by us.

I'm watching this in 2020 with my heart warmed all over again, it means so much to me how you guys genuinely cared about us and love it here. You're very loved by this province.

Before yesterday I hadnt even heard of PTH...the song "clarity" came on my XM radio and I came home and this is the first thing i found on youtube. I literally have chills from this. Incredible band

I'm not from Newfoundland. I'm not even from Canada. I'm from little ol' Kansas City in the heart of the United States, which is an otherwise unremarkable place with fairly unremarkable people who have a lot of heart. I watched this video and I felt something great rising in my chest, a sort of golden glow. Seeing a song written with such compassionate love, with such utter camaraderie and just utter, unyielding spirit and appreciation... it just made me feel really amazing. To all reading this, remember, there is someone who loves where you live and the people in it as much as Protest the Hero loves Newfoundland and its people. And, to Protest the Hero..... may you all live forever. You raise spirits, you raise glasses, and you raise the volume, and I could not be more thankful for your existence.

I'm from Mississippi and i work in texas for long stretches of time, a good ways away from home. Hearing this song, and the pride these people have not just in where they come from, but their trademark state-of-mind and attitude really makes me miss home even more. By all accounts, Mississippi sucks, not much opportunity and certainly not alot of open minds. But i still miss it. My city, hattiesburg, in particular. We have an awesome music scene and a true camaraderie that ive yet to find anywhere else. Bless PTH and Newfoundland and wherever anyone may call their home.

I watch this video every so often and I have such fond memories tied to this song. Love the band, love this song, especially love the capture of a moment in time.

On 9/11 the town of Gander (10,000) hosted 6,700 on planes forced to land there. They took people into their homes, gave up their own beds, fed, and cared for these people like they were long awaited friends. My wife and her family visited in the late 90's and said more than once they were invited to complete strangers homes to have a home cooked meal. "Nice" just doesn't seem to cut it for describing these people.

I never realized how great this song is until now. Me and my wife are going to newfoundland for our honeymoon because we wanted to explore our own country instead of doing the typical thing and go to Mexico (which is still a great country). I'm so excited for our trip, we are going to the viking settlement in lanseaux meadows.

Newfoundland is pretty awesome, every time I see a commercial for it on TV it makes me want to go. Sadly i'm about as far away as you can be in Canada, so it's one hell of a trip, maybe one day.

I grew up in whitby from 1988 until 2009 moved to newfoundland when i was 27. Nice to see some whitby boys giving newfoundland some exposure.

Still my favorite song of Protest the hero. It has that special, deep different vibe form the first to the last second. Watching the videothat feeling made complete sense.

Such an underrated place. Looks like one of the select few spots in the world where I can visit just to enjoy and appreciate life.

Promoting one place's tourism won't get any better than this. We, on the other side of the globe, now have the idea what it looks like and how absolutely beautiful Newfoundland & Labrador is.

I dont know if either this band or the person from the Glass Beach band will see this but as a Newfoundlander Im so glad he showed me this song, being from such a far away part of the island that is of itself far enough away from the world thank you for giving us a chance and thank you for possibly inspiring others to do so. My only regret is not finding this earlier.

I moved from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia a few months back, and while the two provinces are somewhat similar there is something different about the whole vibe. This song just made me so incredibly homesick, and at the same time so proud to be from The Rock.

This year I came to Newfoundland for the first time since I was born. I got to meat all my family; I got to touch, taste, smell, see and feel things I'd never before. I feel so fortunate to have been able to come to this home of mine. Now, to top it all off, Protest the Hero releases a video about us? I'm complete. Fling out the flag, b'ys. Merci. :)

Traveled to Quebec from France. Pretty rare for a french dude to be adopted by the people there but from what I can tell, once Canadians have accepted you it's for life. I miss these lands. I come back here from time to time to watch this video to get the feeling back. It's something I haven't felt anywhere else and I'm sure a lot of people can relate, thx PTH :)

My favorite use of major scale. I listen to this song almost daily to either start or end my day on a (hopefully) positive note. Love the message, love the fervor, love everything about it. I'm ready to go to Newfoundland and listen to this song the entire time JUST because of this song. Kinda crazy that something as simple as a well-written song can have so much impact.

Protest the Hero is one of the few bands that today touch me in a way music hasn't done since middle school. Their music make me happy (as in I'm glad to be alive), make me want to rock out and sad (because of the themes of some of songs) - all at the same time. Thanks guys for being there. Here's for 50 more years!

So this is what a music video is like when it's not paid for and directed by a record label? Unique, refreshing. An actually good expenditure of the money that is spent on music videos, for once. A piece of film with a story and meaning behind it. Not just some dudes playing in a wet, dark room.

I discovered volition with mist song few weeks ago and it's a rebirth of my metal heart. Now I'm a hero, not by birth but in my heart ;-) I missed you last year in France but not next time if you come back, congrats for you albums, each songs and band spirit :-)

Just wanna say that this song makes me feel so overwhelmingly happy. It has been in my "top 3" favorites ever since I heard it. The lyrics, the meaning of the song reminds me of my second hometown, Bloomington. Every time I jam this song in my car and sing along I say "Here's to Bloomington" and it just hits me to the core.
