I was just talking about this with a friend: this song is like the perfect lullaby since the melody is relaxing, the strings are somewhat hypnotic, in addition to the joyful childhood memories of playing DKC2. Like a nostalgia-by or something.
Yeah i forgot this one too..i may have listen this one 100-200 times in the past few years With a friend we agreed that's the best OCRS were the Donkeys, sure..and it was really hard to tell with so many cool songs !
Wow........all I can say.....and need to say Really nice one.....Kinda brought back memories....and......Unexplainable.........Made me pick the game back up after 10 years.I salute you most Impressive.
I was in the SNES times and remember playing a heep of old games but I don't say things like, "I just want to drive a small boat to that forest and sleep in peace". Honestly these people creep me out.
Definantly Hits way higher than the norm of Stickerbrush/Bramble remixes. I prefer cloudpluse's awake remix over this though, but this defidentally is really good
very very promosing beginning!! Not a bad beat behind. So bold! wow, i'm mesmerized by your skill! OH wow, changing the melody, very very bold. The core is very neatly compacted and rearranged. I think this may be my number one of the remixes! The sheer audacity!! The brilliance.
Not really if you read comments left on Stickerbush symphony videos. "This song makes me want to row a boat into the middle of a lake and sleep there silently".
And you give time for the original to be embedded within. A nice homage indeed! 2:50, nice slowdown. The clang background is great!. The interlude (-> 3:30)almost made me forget how to breath! now hints of nateure sounds, birds. and a long slow fade, oh but back into it! And i was only listening at 360! you need this in HD my friend all the way up to 1400!
And to think, this was all possible thanks to a 2D platforming game featuring some monkeys in a blood feud with alligators over a fat pile of bananas. 🐒 🐊🍌
this relaxes me so much. i still have it since i downloaded 4 years ago from OC remix.... love this remix! with out a doubt DKC2 have one of the best soundtracks ever.
This is an awesome remix. Instrument choice and application is superb. Percussion is handled well, quite subtle actually. It contains original sections that don't offend fans of the OST version. Retains enough of the OST version to appeal to nostalgia, reusing the best of David Wise. Harmony intact, so the listener is not shocked. Manages to append to the underlying motif without resorting to arbitrarily 'dotting' the rhythm or introducing inane turns and trills, as 90% of the DKC2 remixes do.
Renan Machado Actually Dkc2 was going to have water only levels but they changed their minds and this was supposed to be the music for them! Thats why i think both Aquatic Ambiance and Stickerbrush Symphony are both so iconic to the series.
+roflwafffle Somewhat wrong, somewhat correct. DKC2 was always intended to have a variety of levels BUT stickerbrush symphony was indeed originally intended to be used for the water levels (note the similarities in calmness/tempo with aquatic ambiance from DKC1). They ended up using the lockjaw theme instead as it was a better fit, but recycled this theme for the final world.
MP3 Download link takes me to an ad, then when I get away form that ad it brings up another ad instead of the download. Can someone message me a url for the mp3 download?
Awesome remix but farout the nostalgia people are annoying. I was a gamer during the SNES times and remember playing this game but you don't see me making comments like those.
