Prototype of the Thistledown Oracle by Three Trees Tarot 

I am so thrilled and excited to finally see this deck - have been waiting with keen anticipation for this Oracle. Always exquisite and never disappointed. Love the back too. 🌻🦋🐕🌈

I was disappointed when she announced in the newsletter that the cards would be smaller, although I appreciated that she'd asked some people first. Standard tarot size would have been so much better for me with my failing eyes and clumsy hands, but obviously most people won't have my issues. I'm worried about the thickness of the cardstock as well. I'm already unable to shuffle the OAT and keep retiring it as a result. I always dig it back out of the box though as I like it too much! These, being smaller cards, will be even harder to shuffle. The prototype cardstock looks so much more usable. All it needs is my corner trimmer. ;) All that said, I'm still waiting impatiently for release. Adam's art, as always, is gorgeous, I very much approve of the use of keywords, and there's a such gentleness and comfort to be found in the deck. The world of all these decks always feels like the world of my childhood, which is why I buy them. They are so beautiful to look at and so inspiring conceptually, just not entirely practical for an ageing reader.

I absolutely adore the jumping spider! I was moved by many of the cards and keywords. Adam and Stephanie create some beautiful stuff. I can't wait for this!

These cards speak to the heart!!! I was so struck at how these cards triggered emotions from my soul and how they resonate with the human experience. I cannot wait to pre-order them!

How did I miss this video? This deck is stunning. It feels very warm and comforting. A deck to retreat to. I have been focusing more on buying a range of decks depending on what I need. I have one animal deck and in some ways it reminds me of this one in that, most animal decks have the animal name and what they represent. This and the one I own don't feel like the generic animal deck. It goes deeper. You're right, they have a storybook feel. I grinned when the snake appeared. I keep snakes and they really are wonderful little souls. I'm always happy to see them shown in a positive light in decks. Thank you for sharing this video. I will be adding this to my list for sure!

Gorgeous! Much like yourself, I'm not a big oracle person, just the occasional one that stands out to me - this is definitely one. I eagerly await the pre-order on April 14! 400 gsm seems thick for a smallish deck but I love the feel of the mini OAT, so I trust Stephanie knows what she's about. I also appreciate them keeping the cost down by opting for a tuck-box. I don't mind a good tuck-box (& Three Trees' are so heckin' cute!). I don't care about fancy packaging and I do wish it wasn't such a focus of many 'content-creators' (along with gilding), it just adds to the cost which is already increased lately.

I was truly convinced I did not need this deck. Now Ive seen it it is definitly going to be coming home with me.

The artwork is so beautiful. It reminds me of storybooks my English grandma would send me.

Loved this walkthrough of the Thistledown Oracle Simon! My favorite part of the oracle is the fact that both the dragons and the woodland animals were incorporated together in the deck (which will make for very intriguing readings). Also, I loved both bird cards (Light and dark) which can be (as you said) great signifier cards. Can't wait for the Kickstarter preorder of these cards because I would love to buy the oracle and pair it with both of the Oak, Ash, and Thorn and Smoke, Ash, and Ember tarot decks (which I bought on sale from Stephanie last year). What a outstandingly beautiful deck, you feel like you could actually be in the cards if that makes sense 🤔, the detail & cuteness of the animals is too much 😍, I agree simon, they do remind you of the old child storybooks. Cannot wait to get a copy

The Calm card reminded me of a book from my childhood, too; a different one, called The Shy Little Girl. These cards are like a connection on steroids to my childhood, and to my mother, rest her soul. I’ve been wanting the Oak Ash and Thorn for some time, but was reluctant to pay the shipping from the UK to the US. Now I’m thinking I’ll buy all three decks and pay for shipping once. 😃

Love animal decks ❤️ but to expensive the indie decks , I wait for the mainstream version but they are lovely ❤️👌

I was half expecting the animals to be the same as on OAT and SAE so it was a pleasant surprise to see that, even though the images are by the same artist, the animals/images are completely different to the tarot decks. I was wondering if there would be a divination coin to go with this deck but I think the two that have already been produced would be more than suitable for this oracle deck too. 400gsm!!! I'm sorry but that's an immediate no from me :-( what a pity. I love the look of it but I already find 350gsm unmanageable.

Not a fan of this deck. The titles, missing borders and small size make me consider not buying it. Great art as usual, but the other factors make me stay away from it sadly.

I have to say I really am a bit disappointed. The pictures are without a doubt incredibly beautiful. But why is there such a grisly spider in there? It doesn’t fit the deck’s mood. I also don‘t understand all the changes made to the cards themselves. Oracles shouldn‘t be smaller but bigger than tarot decks and why are there no borders and those pointy title fields? I get it that you would make some changes when creating an oracle, but they‘re not really positive in my opinion. Now I‘m really on the fence whether I should buy this, which is shocking, since I‘ve been waiting for this for so long.
