THANK YOU FOR NOT BLURRING THE SURGERY ON YOUR SURGERY CHANNEL. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing nothing but a big blur when surgical content is highlighted. Nicely done.
Your channel just keeps on giving! Having vets on staff and being able to video procedures is not only informative but interesting . Both of your vets are great, I thought it was cute that Dr Lydia gets the nickname Ninja! I pray that your organization will always be able to keep vets on staff, what a difference it must make overall and when painful suffering and injured horses come in, having vets on the spot reduces their further suffering. I have to give both your vets an A plus, as I know how emotionally disturbing seeing the horrific injuries and abuse must be to them. Bless them both! I am going to pray that some big donor(s) come along and that you might be able to get a mechanized operating table to make these surgeries easier on the both the animal and the vets. I bet they cost A BUNCH, but what a gift that would be and how well it could be used.
"I'm so used to wrapping a thoroughbred." - I was chuckling. Used to do that myself. And Cleopatra's leg "is" so much bigger! But what an awesome job you did with that standing leg wrap!
Love watching your amazing vets and support crew working on these animals to give them their best life. Love the way Dr. Lydia explains the procedure and what she is doing in a way I can understand and how she takes the time to teach Dr. Gina as she goes. Thank you for creating this channel!
Dr.Lydia is awesome at informing everybody about what stage of the surgery they’re in and what she’ll need next! In the OR - communication is key! Makes my vet tech heart happy 🧡😅
❤❤Astounding work on both horses!! Your Vets and the Vet team are amazing!! I love watching the life changing surgeries you all perform. This is a wonderful rescue, and I am proud to donate to this channel. ❤❤
Great work! I'm so thankful for Dr. Lydia and Dr. Gina! The assistants are wonderful, too. I love this channel and I'm so happy it's back. God bless y'all.
Looks great team!!! Good job to all. Maybe an idea, to ask for an electrical hoist on your wish list to save yourselves having to drag horses and hurt your backs?
Poor babies! I hope they both heal well. Little Paulo is SO cute! I really wish I could have a horse. I couldn't afford the upkeep and I don't live in a house witu acreage but I do love them.
WHOO-HOO Dr. Lydia and all who helped with Cleopatras surgery!! You did an amazing job and so quickly too, hardly any blood loss. I love watching all these surgeries ya'll perform to help all the animals. What a great team!! She's going to feel so much better once it completely heals. And killing 2 birds with one stone on the little guy was genius, cause now he won't have to be put under again, which as we all know is better for him. YaaaY!! Love and God Bless you all at HPHS 💜 ✝️ Jennifer
I love the vet videos! As someone who finds surgical procedures fascinating, I find these videos very interesting and informative. Dr. Lydia is indeed a surgical ninja.
Pretty Cleo❤ I'm always so invested when they get drafts that don't immediately need the last act of kindness. They're usually in such poor condition, just worked to death.
This chanel is great because we can actually see the stuff you do without it being blurred out..very interesting indeed..Hope borg Cleopatra's and Paolo's wounds heal well with no infection..funny how horses grow all that extra flesh on a wound. I can understand why their body does it but most of the time by the time you guys get them it needs removing!!🇬🇧💕✝️🙏👍👏👏🐎🐎🇺🇸
Yes, Dr. Gina, Dr Lydia is a Ninja But I don’t think you could work with any one better. There is no end to what you’re going to do or learn. I wish I had her when I got out of nursing school Lol
Vet team needs Buffs to keep hair out of eyes (etc) during surgery days. There are options for UV protection and fly repellant. Versatile and handy! For Kimberly too. ❤
Paulo woke up and went “Hey! I was supposed to have leg surgery, where are my dingleberries?!?!?” 😂😂. Love Dr Lydia, she is like a windstorm, and Dr Gina is the wonderful port in the storm!!❤❤. Glad both horses are doing well… it was so crazy the difference in the leg size!!! 😊😊
Very interesting channel! Thanks for sharing this stuff. I’m hoping to see the removal of the trach tube in the massive draft horse that horse plus recently acquired:)
While this is not something involving this video, to a degree. I had a question put to my knowledge of horse injuries involving hind legs and why did vets and people not develop a wheelchair for horses. I tried to explain why a horse might not be a good candidate for wheelchairs, like dogs, mini horses, and even elephants (the person brought up videos of elephants with prosthetics and DIY wheelchairs. Has there ever been an effort to make a wheel chair for horses. Even if it is just for getting a horse through a bad break that has been fixed and needs healing. I tried to show and explain why horses cannot use prosthetics, but even that was argued against. Maybe as vets you could explain the why for horses not being included in the wheel chair and prosthetic movement for animals.
Am I the only one who had this show up on 1/4 of my TV screen? If I put on mu phone it's the whole screen. Waited till I got home cuz my TV is the size of a computer 🖥 monitor. But then the picture was still only a quarter of my screen. Almost like watching on my phone???? Anyone have idea why
