I recently had Darren King (drummer for Mute Math, Sucre, ScaryPoolParty) in to talk to my Drum Better Daily members. This is a conversation about creativity and flow on the drums and in the song writing process that we had.
It talks about a creative tool called galumphing as well as why you should let mistakes happen in the process. So often we forget to "play music". We're so concerned with all of the details that we forget that it's called PLAYING MUSIC for a reason. Don't forget to play in your drum practice time. Like, really PLAY.
