Hi there Ashley 😊, we can totally understand that you are tired of being pregnant! At some point, you just want your body back! 😊 We'd love to help so that you can apply the right kind of tools (and in the right order)! Do you like to share with us some details, like for example: have you had any "early signs of labor" so far, like mucus plug discharge, bloody show, mild contractions? Pregnancy week? 1st pregnancy? Based on your answers, we can provide some information that you may find helpful... Looking forward to your reply! ❤️

@@CareAboutLittleOnes hi thank you!! I did have a good labor and delivery my baby was 8 pounds and I labored all at home and got to hospital 9 1/2, 10cm after they broke my water and pushed 15 minutes was at hospital less that 30 mins before I had her haha I did it all natural. I was exactly 39 weeks and I’ve been doing all these besides sex for the past three ish weeks and idk which one worked but I did acupressure last so must’ve been that one! My baby was perfect and healthy and is the best baby ever never cried unless hungry or wants me! The dad left at 8 weeks unfortunately but she is so perfect! Hi everyone. Just an update. So about 2 weeks ago I had concern. About a natural birth experience but my Doc had wanted to induce labor at week 38 due to my gastational diabetes. I saw this video did exactly that they recommended and reached out to CareAbout Little Ones about my concern. They responded in a timely manner in which helped me. And great news I deliver my energetic baby boy at 38wks 4days naturally without any induction. You guys are the best and I thank you for your guidance. First time mom if you want to go naturally trust me these guys are the best help. However I am going to look for some videos on postpartum recovery as I did got tare and stitches. Thanks

Hi there Judy! 😊 THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this with us!! First of all: CONGRATULATIONS on your newborn from the 2 of us!! 🥳🥳🥳 It's always great to hear that women gave birth to their sweet healthy babies! 😍 Second, THANKS SO MUCH for your kind and lovely feedback!! 😘 It is MUCH appreciated and it makes us incredibly proud that our videos helped you have a spontaneous and all natural delivery!! 😊😍 We are sorry to hear that you teared though! 😬 But unfortunately, sometimes, it just happens because there are many factors which play a role here, such as baby's size, midwife's skills etc. Therefore, many women are going to tear even with the best perineal preparation... We do have a video on postpartum recovery though which might help you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LKstHByD3CI.html. There are a few tips in there, particularly regarding the use of witch hazel, which you might find helpful for your recovery... We hope this helps! In the meantime, we want to thank you once more and we wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! Enjoy every minute with your sweet little boy! 🥰 ❤️

My baby was born 39 week + 4 days. My wife dilated 3cm and stayed there for almost 24 hours. I tried the acupressure on her big toes because it was the only one I remember how to do and felt easiest. At first it didn’t seem to work because I didn’t press hard and long enough. After I pressed with both thump and hold at least 1 minute each time, my wife started dilating more. It could be a coincidence. I don’t know. But it didn’t hurt my wife and baby when I tried it. I’m glad I tried it. She finally gave birth naturally in a few hours after I tried it. She and our baby are both healthy and in good shape. I’ll do it again next time😅. Thank you for so much helpful information!

Oh wow!! What a great feedback! Thanks so much for sharing this with us! 😊👍 First of all: CONGRATULATIONS on your baby from the 2 of us!!! 🥳🥳🥳 We also want to thank you that you were such a great support during your wife's labor!! We need more partners like you!! 👍👍 It is no surprise that this acupressure point helped your wife! That's because that acupressure point stimulates the pituitary glands which releases all those important hormones, such as oxytocin. And that's exactly what you need in such situations to speed things up! So, well done!! It was the right one to press in this moment! But now only that: we also like that you did not give up and kept stimulating the toes with both your thumbs! 😊 Again, thanks so much for sharing this! We wish you ALL THE BEST for you, your wife and your baby and a great recovery for the entire family! ❤️

Hi again 👋🏻 I have to be induced in 9 hours because baby has reached 4kg and since I have asthma, they’re afraid of complications during labour/pushing 😞 I’m only 3cm dilated so far and I had the doctor do a membrane sweep earlier so hopefully that will irritate my uterus for my cervix to soften and dilate. Please pray for us. Thank you, you 2. Lots of love all the way from Singapore/Malaysia. 👶🏻😍

Hi there! ❤️ We are very sorry to hear that you have asthma and that they thus need to induce you! ❤️ The only thing we can think of which might help induce labor at this point, is nipple stimulation. However, it is very hard to make this work if you are under time pressure! In any case: please don't worry too much! Women are being successfully induced every single day! We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby! We are sending you lots of prayers and positive thoughts! ❤️

I'm expecting a baby boy who so far is measuring about 2 weeks bigger than he should be. Going to 40 weeks is scary right now.
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes Год назад
Hi there 😘, when you say "2 weeks bigger than he should be", do you mean that he measures 2 weeks more compared to an AVERAGE baby at 40 weeks (i.e. one that is on the 50th percentile on the growth chart)? Because if so, it is not necessarily a reason to worry. Some babies are just bigger than others. So, for example, if your baby is somewhere on the 75th percentile on the growth chart, that itself does not necessarily mean that there is a problem UNLESS of course your doctor DID tell you that there is a medical problem...?

This is my second pregnancy and castor oil unfortunately did not work for me even with a soft, ripe cervix, 3 centimeters dilation, 75% effacement, and my baby’s head being engaged. I’m trying nipple stimulation currently every day for an hour or more a day and ONLY have gotten Braxton Hicks contractions 🙄 At this point for me, I’ll just have to continue waiting until they decide to induce me medically.

Hi there Kate 😊, we had a few cases like yours at the clinic. Nothing seemed to help induce labor (naturally), although those women had every sign that told us: their body is definitely ready for labor. In our experience, this can happen if something in the body blocks the release of labor hormones. In fact, in about 75% of those cases, we were still able to successfully induce labor eventually, once we treated those women for stress and anxiety. This means a combination of several things: - A combination of acupuncture and reflexology for stress relief - Application of relaxation techniques which included deep breathing techniques (please note that the kind of relaxation technique very much depended on the preferences of the woman: some preferred yoga, some Tai Chi, some meditation etc.) - Aromatherapy including lavender (we just used a diffusor with lavender essential oil) - And in severe cases of anxiety, we had to address that anxiety directly, for example, through conversations (often done by a therapist) or by tools which helped them deal with their fears and worries (here is an example: www.therapistaid.com/therapy-worksheet/worry-exploration-questions) Maybe one or several of these tools could help you too? That said, in about 25% of those cases, we were not able to induce labor. And unfortunately, we still don't have an explanation why it did not work... Still, we hope this information will help you! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby! ❤️

Hi there Michelle 😊, thanks SO MUCH for your feedback!! 😊 We are very happy whenever we hear that people from all over the world are watching our videos and find them helpful! 🥳 We do hope that these tips will help you too! The most important thing is preparing the body for labor (and to help it soften the cervix), for example, with dates and acupressure and exercises. When you do that, we normally see that women go into labor spontaneously around their due date (or whenever their body is ready for labor) without even needing to naturally induce labor... Please keep us posted! If you have any questions, please let us know! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

UPDATE BELOW! Trying nipple stimulation with the massage setting on my breast pump and trying castor oil for the second time tonight (with doctors approval). Last night it gave me contractions every 2 minutes for 12 hours but I didn’t go to the hospital knowing they weren’t painful enough because I could still walk and talk through them. They stopped around 7am, but my next checkup 3 hours later shows a 1CM increase in dilation, very soft cervix and 1 station improvement to -1 compared to last week. First baby. Love your videos! Thanks for all you share! UPDATE: (I really appreciated everyone else’s success stories so here’s mine!) I tried it again with permission from my doctor and went into labor that same night! I had gotten my membrane stripped at my appointment at 11am also. 4pm castor oil with almond butter and pineapple juice. Contractions started later and weaker this time. I bounced a bit on a yoga ball around 11pm, contractions were a good bit more painful but I was still skeptical. Tried to sleep but they woke me up every 4 minutes. Decided to go to the hospital and immediately my water broke at 1:45am while still at home. Got much more painful. Hospital at 2am at 5cm. Epidural 3 hours later and though I was dilated to 10cm soon after, I didn't start pushing until 11:30am while baby dropped to a lower station. Had our beautiful baby by 1:30pm! Husband is in school and it was important to us to get the baby out soon while he was on break for the holidays. She was 3 days early and much bigger than expected at 9.2 lbs. Glad she didn't have the chance to grow anymore in the womb! Also, didn't have any extreme GI reactions to the castor oil. Very comfortable experience. Second time, didn't even cause a bowel movement.
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 9 месяцев назад
Oh, that's fantastic! 😊 Thanks so much for sharing! You know, the key here is that every little step gets you closer to your goal! For example: if your baby's station "improved", the increased pressure of your baby's head on your cervix will also help with the dilation and - eventually. - help get labor started... So, don't give up! Most probably, you will soon hold that sweet little thing in your arms!! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hello there. I'm 40weeks+ 4days pregnant my due date also cross but still no sign of labor pain. Doctor give me medicine to start labor but also she told me that its upto me whether to take medicine or not because there's no guarantee after taking medicine labor pain will start so I'm not taking any medication. Should I start taking castor oil for natural labor pain. Pls suggest
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes Год назад
Hi there 😘, we are curious: with "medicine", do you mean Castor oil? Please understand that we are in no position to tell you, if you can take Castor oil or not. Only your doctor can do that because only they are familiar with your pregnancy case. We can only tell you in general that we know many women who successfully induced labor with Castor oil (but also many for which it did not work). What we observe is that it tends to work better, the more advanced your pregnancy is. Therefore, the odds for it to work are probably better at 40+4 weeks compared to, say, 37 weeks. Yet, there is no guarantee that it works... But, you will have to discuss with your provider if you can try Castor oil! Thank you! We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

What if I twist my nipples off ? Would that help ? They hurt so bad anyways. Feel like they about to fall off any day 😭
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 года назад
HI there Maryah 😊, in that case, we would rather focus on other tools, particularly reflexology (with a particular focus on the uterus and pituitary gland). However, in that case, it would make sense to do like 30min sessions of reflexology. Effect-wise, it is certainly not as strong as nipple stimulation, but it is definitely better than twisting your nipples off. 😊 That said, please note that nipple stimulation does not need to be very "intense". It is totally sufficient to softly stimulate them with your fingers and some nipple cream or to stimulate them like you would during intercourse. The purpose is to release oxytocin. And for that, soft stimulation is totally sufficient... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 года назад
HI there Christine 😊, please don't be discouraged just yet! On average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks. Everything within that range is considered "normal". That said, there ARE things which have helped other women in similar situations: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day) 2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only) 3. Acupuncture (this can work particularly well if your stress levels are really high; and please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would most probably not help in your case) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction. We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8rehbupwhzY.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation, Castor oil) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UgrbOc4cebY.html (birth ball exercises) Moreover, please also try to relax as good as possible! We know, it's not easy. But please try not to put too much pressure on yourself because this would just cause a lot of stress! And stress COULD prevent you from going into labor. So please, try to find ways to relax (meditation, yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, a back massage - whatever you find most relaxing!). Finally, keep in mind that things can sometimes go really fast. A woman may not see any signs of labor whatsoever. And then a moment later, she is in labor and a few hours later her baby is born (we have seen many such cases). So, don't give up!! Trust that everything will be okay and that your body knows exactly what it is doing!! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

@@habbakoka4525 Hi there! If your baby faces your front, it is not automatically a reason for a C-section. However, it COULD explain why it's taking longer. Oftentimes, such babies try to find a better position during the days leading up to labor (some also do that while you are in labor). Hi there, first of all, we would not repeat the intake of Castor oil. If it has not worked so far, it is very unlikely to work later... In general, please note that there is no need to worry at this point. On average, a pregnancy lasts between 38 and 42 weeks... That said, in general, several things could help induce labor: In this video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8rehbupwhzY.html) we explain several tools to induce labor. Moreover, birth ball exercises could help (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UgrbOc4cebY.html) On top of that, the right sitting position can also support the whole process (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K5uxfr0YJ_E.html) That said, the most important thing to do is not to worry too much! The EDD is just an estimate, but it is not reliable at all... We really hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby!! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 года назад
Hi there Victoria 😊, it's really very difficult to say because the most accurate EDD is based on the ultrasound which is done before week 12. Ultrasound scans which are done very late in a pregnancy are often not really accurate because at some point, every baby starts to develop differently in terms of size and weight. Therefore, personally, we would go with the LMP. However, the accuracy of the LMP approach really depends on the cycle you had... Question: did they not do an ultrasound before week 12? It normally produced the most accurate EDD... When it comes to the weight, unfortunately, it is impossible for us to tell you if it is accurate. If your doctor has done a good job, it will certainly be very close to that weight. Just keep in mind that it is not an easy task for a doctor to determine the weight based on an ultrasound... We hope this still helps you! All the best for you and your baby! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 года назад
Hi there 😊, your English is perfect! Don't worry, we clearly understand you! 😊 Please note though that it really is not possible to (naturally) induce labor when you are only 35 weeks pregnant. Natural labor induction only works if your body is ready for labor. At 35 weeks, this is highly unlikely.... Moreover, please keep in mind that at 35 weeks, your pregnancy is still preterm. Therefore, some parts of your baby are not fully developed yet. Don't get us wrong: it IS possible to give birth to a baby in week 35. However, it would be better for the baby to have more time to develop, particularly baby's lungs. Ideally, your baby stays in there for 39 weeks... Because of that, we normally start to prepare the body for labor from week 37, to make it more likely that you naturally go into labor around your due date (we show you how in the video below which you left your comment). And if this does not help, there are also natural ways to induce labor that we describe in the same video. However, as we said before, they are only likely to work if your body is ready for labor... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

I hope you guys see this but is it normal to lose your mucus plug for 3 days and it be bright pink/red? I’m 39 weeks. My OB doesn’t answer. This is my 3rd baby and I’ve never seen this before. Is this a sign I’m going into labor? How much blood comes with the labor?
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 года назад
Hi there 😊, losing the mucus plug at the stage of pregnancy you are in is absolutely normal, yes! As for the color, it is normally okay if it is pinkish/red. However, if there is lots of blood, we would definitely talk with your OB. In 99% of all cases, there won't be a problem. But the safety of your baby is always our highest priority. Therefore, please continue trying to get in touch with your OB! Send them a picture if you can! By the way: losing the mucus plug is just a normal thing that happens when your body prepares for labor. However, it does not necessarily mean that you will go into labor anytime soon. Some women lose their mucus plug and still don't go into labor for another 2 weeks. Everybody is different... ;-) We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 года назад
Hi there Angie 😊, please note that you don't necessarily see any discharge now. Some women only do that after they go into labor. So, no need to worry! 😊 Regarding your question: we don't think you are in labor! Most likely, you only experience Braxton Hicks contractions because then, your tummy is also getting hard. You are only in labor, once your contractions develop a pattern. That means they come in closer and closer intervals and they get longer and stronger. We recorded a video which may help you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vWG6GVOyf1g.html. By the way: don't worry that Castor oil did not help! It can be quite difficult to make it work. 😊 However, there is also nipple stimulation and reflexology which you could try... We explain how these tools works in our video! We really hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 года назад
Hello 😀 Thanks a lot for your question! If you have gotten contractions from nipple stimulation, that's a good sign! In general, if you have gotten at least some contractions, then it is likely that you would get even more from continued nipple stimulation, as we have seen in scientific studies. Regarding Castor Oil: unfortunately, it is impossible for us to tell you, if you can try Castor oil, because we don't know your case. Ideally, you have a check-up at the hospital first. Find out how far your body is in terms of cervical dilation. And then ask your doctor, if you should try Castor Oil to induce labor. It is important to get your doctor's approval first, before you try Castor Oil... Let us know how it goes ;-) All the best for you and your baby!! 💕

And also can I try ur tools at this condition or should I want for contractions to come naturally
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 года назад
Hi there 😊, thanks SO MUCH for being such a loyal subscriber!! ❤️❤️ Please note that when a baby drops, it does not necessarily mean that labor is about to start. That said, it IS an important part of how your body prepares for labor. So, it's a good sign that this has happened because then you can see that your body is preparing for labor! By the way: A baby normally drops some 2-4 weeks before labor starts. However, this is really something that is different from woman to woman. For example: sometimes, a baby only drops once the mother is in labor. Therefore, nobody can tell you for sure, if labor is about to start very soon or not. Regarding the tools: we are big fans of letting labor start on its own. Therefore, what we do at the clinic is, we eat dates, apply acupressure and do exercises from week 37 onwards and then from week 38 onwards, we also do reflexology. And just that you know: we do this, no matter if the baby has dropped or not at this point. And then from week 39, we do nipple stimulation. When we follow that process, women normally go into labor spontaneously. If not, we might have to increase the duration of nipple stimulation, or add acupuncture and sometimes Castor oil. But this is really the exception and we mostly do it, if the woman would otherwise be medically induced... We really hope this information helps you! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming delivery, for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi there Angelica 😊, basically, all the things that we explain in this video could help (including dates despite the fact that we normally start with dates in week 37). However, one thing that may be particularly effective are birth ball exercises which we explain in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UgrbOc4cebY.html. Birth ball exercises can have a great impact on your cervix, as shown in scientific studies and they improve your Bishop score (which is a measure for how ready your cervix is for labor). We hope this information helps! 😊 All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi please help , I have two Edd dates one that's 11June and another 11 July which is from a Scan , now I don't know which to follow but I do feel some mild pains from time to time am not sure weather am 37 weeks or 33 weeks. Which is the best Edd to follow?
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 года назад
Hi there ❤️ It's a very difficult topic, one that frustrates many moms-to-be! The EDD that they give you after a scan is based on the size of your baby. So, they check the size of your baby and then they tell you what due date to expect based on that size because they know from experience, what size to expect given a certain pregnancy week. Because of that, the most accurate EDD is NORMALLY the date from your first scan. That's because at that stage, all babies normally have APPROXIMATELY the same size. But from then on, babies develop at different rates. And so, it is difficult to make use of standardized charts that tell you, okay, the baby is a size X, so it must be week 28, for instance. Because what if your baby just grew quicker than other babies at week 28... So, again, the most accurate date is normally the date of your first scan. Also, the pain that you are feeling could be Braxton Hicks. It's really very difficult to say and there is a lot of room for errors... Still, we hope that this explanation has helped you at least a little bit! All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️

Hi there 😊, thanks SO MUCH for your kind feedback!! 😘 It makes us super happy to hear that you like our channel!! 😊 Regarding your question: It's not easy! 😬 The most "reliable" way to help with round ligament pain seems to be acupuncture. At least, acupuncture has helped many women at the clinic. However. it certainly did not help EVERY woman. That said, some women have also reported that the pain improved with the same kind of exercises that we would also do in case of pelvic girdle pain (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SqInGwou5v0.html). However, we are not sure if all those cases were indeed cases of round ligament pain or if those women actually suffered from pelvic girdle pain because sometimes, women report very similar symptoms in both cases... Unfortunately, that's all we can say about round ligament pain... We still hope this information helps you! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you and your baby! ❤️

Hi there, poor you! ❤️ First of all, the good thing is that you can clearly see that your body is preparing for labor. But apparently, your body needs the right trigger to give itself that last push. And there are several things that helped other women do just that: 1. Nipple stimulation (just keep in mind that it may not be done with a few minutes per day); nipple stimulation can work particularly well because of the fact that you had at least some contractions in the past already) 2. Reflexology (same as nipple stimulation: it may not be done with a few minutes per day only) 3. Acupuncture (in our experience, acupuncture can work particularly well in cases like yours because acupuncture can often be that final trigger that a woman needs who has been seeing all those signs of labor but just does not go into labor...; but please note: it has to be acupuncture; acupressure would most probably not help in your case) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball 5. A combination of the tools above... Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects (7% of all women experience extreme nausea, vomiting and diarrhea). Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction if your doctor approves... We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8rehbupwhzY.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UgrbOc4cebY.html (birth ball exercises) Most importantly though, please stop to worry! Worries and stress won't help you go into labor. So, ask your partner for a nice back massage, try yoga, meditation, acupuncture whatever you find relaxing! We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming delivery, for you and your baby! ❤️

Thank you for existing firstly! I want to ask that I'm in my 40th week now and doctor did examine my cervix two days before (2finger test) He said I've started dilating After that i got brownish discharge thoroughly but in drops form.. And yesterday evening i got clot of it . And still having a bit of brown discharge? Is it sign for labor ? Also I'm having contactions around my tummy only Not with regular intervals though. What else can help me with vaginal birth?
@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 года назад
Hi there 😊, what you observe could be the mucus plug! However, if you want to be 100% sure, we would send a picture to your midwife! If it is indeed the mucus plug, it is definitely a sign that your body is preparing for labor. However, it is not necessarily a sign that labor is about to start... The fact that you have contractions around your tummy on the other hand can be a sign that your labor is about to start. So now, what you have to do is looking out for a change of the pattern of your contractions. At some point, they are going to come in closer and closer intervals, they will become longer and stronger. The things that we teach in this video can certainly support this process. On top of that, birth ball exercises can help (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UgrbOc4cebY.html) as well as sitting in the right position (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K5uxfr0YJ_E.html). @@bhoomiparekh7148 Hi there, when the time gap is 15 minutes, then it is not yet true labor. It is more like a pre-labor stage. However, this can change very quickly. So, don't be surprised if the pattern continues to change, until your contractions come in very close intervals 😊

Hi there 😊, please don't worry just yet! Acupuncture (acupuncture itself cannot induce labor; however, it can help in cases when a woman cannot go into labor because of high stress levels because acupuncture can really bring your stress levels down. So if your wife is really stressed, acupuncture could help) 4. Exercises on a birthing ball Of course, there is also Castor oil. However, personally, we always treat Castor oil as last resort simply because of the side effects. Also, you can never be sure if it is going to work... Still, it CAN be super effective for labor induction. Just discuss with your doctor first, if Castor oil is the right tool in your particular case... We talk more about these tools and also how to apply them in these 2 videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8rehbupwhzY.html (reflexology, nipple stimulation, Castor oil) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UgrbOc4cebY.html (birth ball exercises) Finally, keep in mind that things can sometimes go really fast. A woman may not see any signs of labor whatsoever. And then a moment later, she is in labor and a few hours later her baby is born (we have seen many such cases). This happens particularly often in second pregnancies because the body has done this once already... We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for the upcoming birth, for you, your wife and your baby!! 😊

@CareAboutLittleOnes

Contractions are a good thing because they will help you dilate your cervix. If you have at least some contractions then the tools for labor preparation and induction that we describe here are more likely to work. Therefore, no matter if your contractions have started or not, these tools can still help you soften your cervix and help with the dilation. The softer your cervix, the easier the dilation will be!

@CareAboutLittleOnes 2 года назад
Hi there Megan 😘, thank you for sharing your concerns! We must say, this is interesting to hear because there are many scientific studies on Castor oil and none of them found that Castor oil has the potential to put babies in distress... Castor oil is laxative. That's all it does. It causes a reaction in the intestines. And since the uterus is located right in front of the intestines, it is hoped that it causes a spill-over effect on the uterus (which it often does). So, if Castor oil would indeed cause distress in babies, the same would apply to spicy food, a stomach bug and anything else that causes a reaction in the stomach (including nervousness and anxiety). And yet, this is not what we observe. So, the question is: was it really Castor oil that caused distress in your sister's baby? Or was it the process of going into labor itself (because contractions can certainly put a baby in distress - this IS something that happens very often)? Anyways: as always, it's important to check with a doctor, if Castor oil is the right thing for a woman, given her particular pregnancy case. We wish you all the best! 😊

@CareAboutLittleOnes
@CareAboutLittleOnes 3 года назад
Hi there Mary ❤️, poor you!! You probably feel a lot of pressure right now!! Please note that, even though you have only felt Braxton Hicks so far, the whole labor process can go really really fast! Like, some women don't feel anything and then an hour later, they are in active labor. We are sometimes really surprised how fast things go for some women... Some things that have helped other women, who were in a similar situation as you are right now, are the following ones: 1. Exercise (IF the treating physician allows it): exercises on a birthing ball or even just going for a 30min walk every day are great ways to go into labor spontaneously. That's not only what scientists have found but it's also what we see at the clinic all the time... We teach how exercises on a birthing ball work in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UgrbOc4cebY.html. 2. Relaxation: Relaxation helps keep your stress levels in check. That’s important because stress hormones can block the release of labor hormones. In other words, more relaxation, more labor hormones 😉. Try a massage treatment, try yoga or meditation. Whatever helps you relax! And this is probably even more important for you now because you are probably really stressed out by the fact that you are in week 41 and still haven't gone into labor so far... 3. Acupuncture and/or reflexology. We do both at the clinic. Both can help prepare the body for labor if a woman does not see any early signs of labor at all (f.e. mucus plug discharge, bloody show, increase of Braxton Hicks etc.). On the other hand, if a woman DOES see lots of early signs of labor, then the combination of acupuncture and reflexology could even help induce labor. And another great benefit of acupuncture and reflexology is that it can help a woman relax (which again is really important at that stage). If you cannot find an experienced professional therapist, you can also do acupressure and/or reflexology yourself. (In this video, we teach how: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8rehbupwhzY.html). Just keep in mind that the effect of a professional treatment will obviously be much stronger… Finally, one thing that has also worked for many many women in similar situations, was nipple stimulation. However, please note that it's normally not done with 15min of stimulation. Some of them stimulated their nipples several hours per day (not in a row - but still). Nipple stimulation increases Oxytocin levels, which can also help you relax by the way. We really hope that you will go into labor VERY SOON!! All the best for the upcoming delivery, for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️

Also, unfortunately, it is not only a matter of your cervix, but also baby's position (for example, if baby is facing your back or front) and your hormones. For example, sometimes, stress hormones block the release of labor hormones. So, please don't worry too much! Try to relax! If nipple stimulation does not help, skip it! Hi there 😊, in general, we always recommend asking your doctor first, if you can try these things because maybe, there are good reasons why you should not try them. For example, we once had a case when a woman could not do nipple stimulation because of some lump in her breast. Moreover, if you suffer from gestational diabetes, you may not be able to eat dates. Or maybe you are not allowed to exercise during your pregnancy. Of course, these are things which only your doctor knows - and which we cannot know... Therefore, we kindly ask you to get the approval of your provider first. That said, in general, we can tell you that we almost never have cases of women who are not able to apply these tools, ie. dates, acupressure, reflexology, exercises and nipple stimulation. We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️

Hi there 😘, that is only understandable! You just want a healthy baby! Have you also read our other reply regarding your labor-symptoms? Given the high risk pregnancy, we do recommend talking with your OB about the labor-related signs that you are seeing right now... Thank you!

Hi there 😘, it is good that you stopped those exercises, particularly squats. We would only do squats, once baby is anterior because squats can make a baby engage in the pelvis. And then it will be much more difficult to turn the baby anterior. We recorded a video to help you turn your baby anterior: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wouG3-qVAho.html If baby does not turn anterior, then please note that babies often turn anterior DURING labor with the help of contractions. So, even if you cannot manage to turn your baby anterior, you can (normally) still have a normal delivery. We hope this helps! 😊 We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

I did the midwifes brew with castor oil with my 1st baby, but i was told by my midwife to not do it because it sends baby in shock and baby might poop(mecomium) in belly and they might swallow this and can create a dangerous situation. I was told this after i drank the midwives brew... and yes i did go into labor 48hours... and my baby did indeed poop in my belly thank heavens he didnt swallow but he had to stay in observation. I dont know if its because of the midwives brew... i am pregnant now almost 39weeks and i will not be doing this anymore. Il just wait. Just wanted to share my experience. Ofcourse everyone is entitled to their own opinion and have their own experiences.

Hi there 😊, thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us! We have had this discussion with countless midwives and doctors who claim that Castor oil makes a baby poop in the womb. And we keep asking them: HOW do you know this? So, we ask you the same: in which scientific study has it ever been established that there is a causal relationship between Castor oil and meconium in the womb? Castor oil causes an intestinal reaction. And it is hoped that that reaction has a spillover effect on the uterus. The same reaction can be caused by spicy foods. So our second question is: if Castor oil is said to make a baby poop, why then are there not the same concerns when it comes to spicy foods? If you or your midwife can provide an answer to those questions, we would be super happy to hear them! To make one thing clear: we don't defend Castor oil. If there is any scientific evidence that Castor oil is bad, then we WANT to know it! But so far, unfortunately, we have never received a satisfying answer. Thank you! In any case, we wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

Hi, I like your videos.. thanks for sharing the valuable information. At 38 weeks, there is single loose loop of cord around neck. Is normal delivery possible ? Doctor is suggesting to decide between elective cesarian or wait for natural labor to progress which may cause fetal distress.

Hi there! 😊 First of all, thanks SO MUCH for your lovely feedback! We are very happy to hear that you like our videos! 😊 Regarding your question: We know LOTS of women who have given birth to babies with a cord around their neck. So, in theory, it is absolutely possible. Also, please note that some of those cases DID involve fetal distress. However, none of them resulted in an emergency C-section. And every single one of those women gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby... However, it really depends A LOT on the medical team! Some doctors will give the baby a bit time to recover first, to see if labor can continue. Others will immediately go for interventions as soon as the baby s in distress. We don't blame them though because there is a lot of responsibility involved and their first priority is the safety of the baby. Still, it is up to you to decide which way you wanna go! We hope this helps! ❤️ Whatever you decide, we wish you GOOD LUCK and ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
