Maybe that also explains how echo 216 was able to reach Chief so quickly, if he was on the other side of the ring it would have taken longer to fly there.

When I first saw that seen and heard people say "he is on the other side of the ring" then I just didn't believe it because like you mentioned the broken piece of the ring is way too close to be on the complete other side

Zeta Halo has sooo much potential

In case it's useful in the future: The anchor planet shown at the start of the game is The Endless homeworld. It was alluded to in the most recent Cannon Fodder and Despondent Pyre said that she had moved the ring within reach of their homeworld before their sentencing.

Interesting. It makes sense that it could be a chunk of the ring floating within the perimeter of the ring, but what would explain the reason it still has atmosphere? Also found it interesting that there were so many more rings stacked together than normally found elsewhere. Like those Forerunner artifact rings have two or three, but this has a lot more.

I always wondered why the distant part of the Ring was sideways, which wouldn't make sense if you're on a ringworld, because that'd mean gravity was being weird.

With each campaign DLC release, they should add multiplayer maps with corresponding weather and climates. Next would be Sandtrap, Sandbox, and maybe Blood Gulch. After that, maybe Snowbound and Sidewinder.

Well, I don’t remember exactly when, but I thought that it was mentioned that the ring is repairing itself, which would explain why it always looks different. Also, after the final mission where you are told it’s been 3 days, many things could have happened Also, why didn’t Echo ask “woah, why are there?” Maybe 343 was being rushed I honestly won’t be mad if they update this to make it more sensible

Quick theory, this chunk of the ring in the ending is a pice that is progressively drifting from the chunks during the campain. And the more the sections of the ring are getting away, the less they have gravity or athmosphere, and more radiations, causing the harsh sandy and dry climate, with no rivers enabling athmosphere.

This was my exact comment on your last video, answering where Chief might have been in the end cutscene. I may not have been clear in what I was trying to say, but you summed it up much better. Well done

I thought it was fairly obvious that they were "missing" for 3 days, when the pilot finds them, and he clearly can fly to them, so not super far from where they are if the Pelican is able to show up within moments of them appearing, likely on one of the broken sections of the ring. As for Atriox, the dialogue during the cutscene is from the past, the visual is from the present. Simple as that.

I found it odd that people thought he was on the opposite of the ring. My fiend thought we were on the other side, so I simply asked: "Okay, then why is the ring at the horizon?" He asked what I meant, and I explained that the cutscene shows the ring at the horizon, but in game you see the ring above, and it is far. I said that we have to be somewhere inside, or outside of the ring, to the point where we must be sideways. I thought that we were outside of the ring; that way 343 could explain why we don't see the sideways island in game. Which would be because we needed to look down under the land we are standing on, and the location we are at does not allow us to see it. And in the opening cutscene, it is to our right and we simply cannot see it because the limited camera movement.

This chunk of the ring is obviously going to be the next part of the story. Once it's out as DLC I bet we can see it floating there if we look up from the main area we start at.

One big detail I don’t see people talking about is the way Master Chief comes out of the portal in that sequence, it’s very odd. Comes out one way, then starts falling towards the camera, then starts falling towards the ground which is a different direction as though the gravity is wonky. This still works with your theory I believe, probably even better than my theory actually (that they were on the side of Zeta Halo like 1/3rd the way around or something.)

I think it was a art direction mishap. Kind of like the ending of Halo 4 where Chief is 2 feet taller than Palmer but he really isnt.

I theorized during my initial playthrough, and while discovering the ring locations, that they were used for some sort of teleportation or travel around the ring itself. Whether that travel be simply physical or through time was a toss up. I figured this bc when you find one's location, there's usually more inline with it on the terrain beyond it making me think that they're all connected. After seeing your video I now, without any evidence whatsoever... just my own meandering supposition, think that if he's appeared on the larger, disconnected chunk of debris within Zeta Halo then perhaps it is large enough to have it's own power source to keep it active and connected to the other small rings network. I assume I'm wrong, but it's certainly fun to think about. Love your videos and I'm glad I found your channel!

Fun fact: ~1/2 of the entire campaign was cut. I have a feeling that at a point we would’ve explored this chunk

It could be a chunk of Forerunner land that was hidden off the ring. Think about how right after the fight, Chief was 'somewhere' for 3 days. It could have been de-cloaked, or simply unlocked from slipspace after their fight.

I have an itch. The environment we’re thrust into at the end of infinite, reminds me of the Halo 5 concept trailer, which shows the chief in a desert, when a massive entity (mendicant bias/offensive bias perhaps) comes out of the sand. Mind you, that Halo 5 concept trailer, has yet to happen (or anything alike to it). I may be wrong but that’s just my itch.

when a cartographer is blown up, the silent cartographer is built automatically on the other side of the ring. The auditorium must have been destroyed, creating the silent one. Chief got teleported 3 days into the future, about the time it would take to be safe and have a new library. Also, in the silent auditorium, the brand new one that just got rebuilt, there are a ton of Elite cylixes in the windows, and banished are coming out of the doors that seem to enter those areas. What if the endless can "make" new friends from species stored in the cylixes? like the new monitor was talking about doing.... making new pals and chums....

Its likely the part cortana blew out, which also makes sense for the fact that its seemingly relevant to the plot.

The only thing that is weird is the big change of scenery. I know about refugias and that is why Alpha Halo had different biomes. But a desert biome next to a forest biome is quite extreme.

I just wanna know where the open world section takes place because when we see the broken ring theres no land masses big enough or close enough together to show where we actually land.

If a modder can access that piece of the cutscene of the campaign, which they've done it since Halo 3, we'd have more information to the desert biome chief is in on the opposite end of the ring.

well, at the moment he was picked up by his Pelican, the pilot would say something about some mistry construction floating inside the halo that was never there before. the pilor was near the ring quite some tine not to notice that there was something added on after Chief ended the campaign. no ?

It looks like the perimeter\container 'wall' for the Halo structure which you can see sections of, during the campaign, at both extreme ends of the debris field.

Maybe I shouldn't be watching Halo theory videos this late at night but everytime you started saying the ring was an illusion in the intro I started seeing the farside of the ring as the frontside with all those holograms. Glad this theory dived into the odd perspective in that scene though. I acknowledged it but just hand waved it as the artists cheating things to make a sweet composition, didn't occur to me there could be deeper clues and details to it.
