I really like this cause it has the same vibe with sleeping while there's a conversation with old family members downstairs after a gathering. There's a nostalgic feeling and safe feeling knowing that there are people awake around the house. ✨🥰
Wow I love this more than I thought I would. It truly feels like you’re staying the night with some friends after a party, and everyone is quieting down for the night and starting to do their own thing. But the buzz of the party is still in the air so you’re kinda delaying yourself going to sleep just yet, even though your eyes are super heavy and all the sounds around you are blending into the background as you start to fall asleep on the couch while everyone else is awake. A very specific yet super relaxing and safe feeling, I definitely wouldn’t mind a longer version 🥰❤️ I also like the rambling!
I love when you come close so that you're in my personal space, it makes me feel like what your are doing saying is meant only for me and that in itself is such a tingle ❤ especially when it feels like you are whispering in my ear and I get a close up of half your face and neck then changing to the other ear, so damn relaxing ❤❤❤
Honestly, I didn't even notice anything off about the way you say proximity, I was too in my tingles! This was very relaxing and you are a handsome guy. Thank you for creating this for us all to relax too!
Your renovated basement looks very welcoming Tom. Great job. I enjoyed the layering of sounds and the various moments of you appearing with activity. Light typing. You playing guitar. Best part is you whispering closer and closer to the mic. Oooh shivery tingles.🫠 Even the words ginger sugar is a trigger. Very cool sound(s). I don't think you say proximity weird. I say it the same way too. Oh well. It's on them.😄 The netflix idea sounds great. Yay to your sponsor. Your skin looks amazing!💕💕 Take care.
The background guitar is such a perfect addition to this video, I love just gentle background music moving around in the space and I rarely find one that's not tinkly flutes which sound close enough to my alarm to keep me awake 😂 this is absolutely ideal
I love the proximity effect in spatial audio. Something you might want to think about is having the camera facing away from you, so it's like you're standing behind us - not for the whole video but maybe for part of the time? I think part of the tingle effect can be enhanced by not seeing where you are before the close-up whispers.
The quality of your audio is always fantastic Tom! Your proximity ASMR is my absolute favourite, and it's really cool that you're always looking to evolve and try something new! Thanks for the relaxation!
Thanks for being open about what idea to explore in your upcoming videos, it's not something regular viewers get to have a glimpse of unless they catch you during a livestream. Since you were exploring around the basement, maybe a basement tidying video talking about stuff you've stored there can be a decent idea?
Love this!! One of my favorite triggers. Also LOVE the idea of having people. One of the triggers I have the hardest time tracking down is the sound of a room full of people like when you were a little kid. Just falling asleep surrounded with people laughing and talking and maybe your mom or dad would pet your head a little. Also, that's a great basement
This is one of my favorite triggers and ever since you have begun to do even more of these I’ve been hooked! Adding both the layers and the proximity effects made it better when I didn’t think there was any way to even make it better?! I hope you continue to play around more with these as I love them deeply! Thank youuu! 🌈☺️✨
Conpletely engrossed with the layering and highly intense triggers when you whisper close. Loved the tone and gentleness of your voice, feels so personal, great mix of sounds and pleasing imagery conjured up with your descriptive dialogue, mmmm ginger sugar... such enjoyable relaxing ramble, please do more ♥️
Fantastic video Tom, well done. Loved the overlapping sounds and the way the guitar was played in the background. You really are gifted Tom, don't let anyone tell you different
The close proximity between all the floating, whispers, and guitar playing is a cool set of triggers. And you don't say proximity weird to me. I clearly hear a Z sound. Thanks for sharing, Tom. 🌻💚
Ughhh, proximity was such a huge trigger in the early days! It's not until now that I realized how much I miss it and how effective it is. Just a few minutes in, and it's already so tingly.💖
I like that idea. Main Tom and guitar playing in background was my favourite 👌😌 The phone call and typing sound distracted me a bit. Felt like I'm in an overcrowded area and this stresses me out 😅 In such situations, I'm not good at filtering and everything comes crashing down on me. Would love to see how you improve the idea with other layers for example.
Tom, let me start off by saying you sure do know how to make a video with great content. This was super cool! All the layers of you from the guitar playing, typing, and talking on the phone. Incredible! By the way, there is nothing wrong with the way you say "proximity." I like your idea for the next video, I think that would be cool. Another cool idea is a horror/haunted house themed video. You can give some scream effects from different angels of the room, horror music, evil/wick laugh, etc. Just an idea I'm throwing out there that I thought would be quite awesome. You can also have people/friends over to help you out with this, too. What do you think?
You rambling about how you say “proximity” had me laughing 😂 I think some say it with more of an emphasis on the ‘x’ (like 16:36). I guess you kinda don’t. But you say it however you like 🙂
I loved this! Especially the layering of all the different versions of you doing all different things; it was so immersive and relaxing. Please do more! I will say, the one "track" of you where it sounded like you were on a phone call did pull me out of the experience a bit. The rambling about the room, the beer and wine, etc. were great, but the "chatting with someone else" made it feel less like something intentional made for me to help me relax, and more "I'm bored wuth this and need to fill space." Plus, something about talking to a different person broke the immersive experience somehow. I'm totally here for any more videos you want to make this way, whether more of this style or in a role play. Do what seems fun to you! Thank you for always making us such great content!! (I have never thought you say "proximity" weirdly? How else would you say it?)
i love your proximity videos. been watching the last one on repeat since it was released. was having trouble sleeping tonight so i’m very glad to see this!!
This is amazing. I don't even like other ASMR. I loved the rambling. Keep it up, you're really talented. The movie idea is cool. I can't wait to see it!!
I really enjoyed this video format. I loved the layering. So relaxing. Thank you for sharing your many levels of creativity. Your basement would be great for game night. The tapping of board game pieces and drinks clinking with light background chatter could be fun. Just an idea. Thanks for all you do!!
This was such a different vedio it felt like i am with people i feel comfortable with..like there are many people in the room with me but no one is loud just cozy feeling you have after a party when everyone is tried and relaxed..❤
To my English ears it sounds like your saying progsimity whereas I pronounce it with a harsh x, prox-imity I actually thought it as soon as you made the intro so I found it hilarious when you brought it up at the end, I mean I couldn’t care less how you say it you still sound awesome xx
This is MAGIC!!! So much tangles! I could literally feel your breath on the back of my neck! ❤ If you want an idea I actually came across a few roleplay videos this week and I was thinking you can do a roleplay of Superman confessing his love to the listener. I immediately thought about you for the perfect ASMR. :)
I liked the proximity asmr trigger better then I thought and enjoyed it.😊 The basement looks so nice & cozy, and the color looks so good too, it’s a similar color to my basement actually. Also I like Eucalyptus sent too because it’s reminds me of my Dad’s cologne he used to wear and he passed away November of 2020.💙🌿
This was fun and tingly, especially when main Tom returned…that worked sooo well and you should use him again, for sure 😌 I love this big room proximity thing and the idea at the end with other people sounds like a winner to me 👌 Also, im now saying proximity out loud to myself trying to figure out what’s so weird about how you say it…I got nothing and I’m from the UK sooo 🤷🏻♀️
I don't understand why you're being roasted over that but the way you say it is just fine plus you really shouldn't say that you aren't creative when this video was your best one yet. It was so relaxing. You're doing great with your videos so don't feel down about it.
How much Toms is too much Toms? It's not. This is perfect. Cinematic. Next time in black and white... Brilliant. I feel so warm. PS. I too am called Ginger Sugar lol (I have red hair)
