Thank you for the video which is very entertaining and informative again! I had hoped for the EV mics -- although they are not handheld. Or for the AKG D202 which is nothing else now but a part of the past so, I understand, is not so interesting today. However, it surely was one of the first proximity compensated models with its dual transducer design.
I have heard about the AKG, I think they were quite complex (certainly the Shure is said to be complex) and maybe a bit fragile. I thought the dual diaphragm was to increase frequency response as in woofer and tweeter, I will do some research.
Well kind of, but low end is difficult and expensive to reproduce, so most sound systems don't bother. I'll take any help I can get, as long as it's clean.
