Not quite. ProZD has the benefit of using "clickbait relatable titles" that usually get peoples attention easier. He doesn't need thumbnails because most of his videos are short enough to get high clickrates while the title gives you a very straightforward idea of what your getting.

Yeah getting fancy thumbnails and a high-end setup first is just putting the cart before the horse. Been online lurking for god knows how long, and it seems like to get popular online (and actually be generally liked, and to last a long time), you only absolutely NEED: 1. To make content both you and others in a community like. 2. Develop a skill related to it; Things that can't be easily duplicated or replaced by any ol' low-effort poster. Congrats, you are now moderately popular on the internet.

ProZD has great title names that make up for his lack of thumbnails. And his videos are short enough to get a new viewer to go down the rabbit hole of his channel and watch like 10+ videos in a row. That being said, thumbnails are still important for certain channels. Mr. Beast has youtube down to a science. His numbers speak for themselves. And it's not a coincidence. Every single one of his localized language channels have been a success so far. Which is unheard of on RU-vid. Take a look at a channel like Dude Perfect, they tried to localize to other languages as well and failed miserably. Huge Spanish content creators tried to localize to english and failed miserably as well.

The personality and contents they have are like the completely opposite

His work as FL4K in Borderlands 3 was absolutely killer! I highly recommend checking out some videos on the voice lines he did cause they're great!

@@MaryAnnSweetAngel there is nothing wrong with playing otome games, even if you are a guy. I'm a guy as well and still beat Hakuouki in 3 days 100%. I also enjoy reverse harem anime.

At this point, I think the real culprits are the developers. They should've seen that as an oversight during the mids 2010s. I think they overestimated how dumb and lazy people could be.

I always dread vertical videos and the reasons you give are exactly why.

Maybe, on phone vertical videos are fine, but I never use my phone, always PC or iPad, and it’s really annoying to watch a vertical video on PC. And that’s why I hate them!

If I'm on my phone, I vastly prefer watching vertical videos to horizontal. Its much easier
